What a fantastic find! There's live music from 7.30 and the atmosphere in the place is bouncing...however we went for food and we were not disappointed! The Seafood Chowder and Mussels were outstanding!!! The portions are a fair size so be prepared. The staff were friendly and accommodating despite being run off their feet. The knick-knacks that are all round the pub deserve a mention and you will spend a good while just seeing what you can spot. We will be back if we're ever in the Dublin area.

Great place to bring guests from overseas for an authentic, atmospheric dining experience. Great Guinness & hearty food! A wonderfully cluttered collection of antiques and quirky artefacts in a cosy, traditional Irish setting!

I made a reservation for 7 people, but we were seated at a table meant for 6. They added an extra chair, and we had to squeeze in to make it work, which made the experience a little uncomfortable.

We come back to you from time to time especially with some new guests and I will say honestly that overall it was this time probably the worst of all times. the decor was the same so a nice atmosphere, the music nice, Guests are seated in such a way that there is practically no space next to each other. I felt a bit like they were focusing on quantity rather than quality, but when it comes to food: the chicken we ordered was very dry nothing surprised us, the duck, gnocchi, Lamb Shanks and my fish - tasted good but everything had huge mountains of fat. With my fish the vegetables were cold and fatty so much that they were swimming in fat it was the same with the duck the kale was not drained from the fat in which it was made.

I recently visited this restaurant with my family and, unfortunately, our experience was marred by several service issues. Firstly, I ordered a glass of wine, which my child accidentally spilled on the table. Despite the visible mess, no staff member offered assistance in cleaning it up. I requested a replacement glass of wine, which was provided, but I was later surprised to find it included on our bill. Additionally, we had an unexpected extra child with us, resulting in the need for an additional seat. I noticed an empty chair at a nearby table and used it temporarily. However, a waitress asked me to return it, stating that the table was reserved for upcoming guests. Interestingly, that table remained unoccupied for the next 90 minutes, leaving me feeling that our comfort was unnecessarily compromised. As someone who works in customer service, I understand the importance of accommodating guests and ensuring their comfort. While the food was undeniably delicious, the lack of attentive service detracted from our overall dining experience.
