Jimoto is a locally owned and operated upscale casual American Sushi Restaurant located in downtown Winnetka. "Jimoto" is a Japanese term that can be translated as "local" or "hometown." In Japanese culture, "jimoto" often signifies a deep-rooted loyalty and support for the community, as well as a recognition of the local traditions, customs, and values. We aim to capture that essence when you visit us for a date night or just to satisfy your sushi craving!     Great food. Just a little loud , sounds echo - maybe some sound dampening . The seats by windows are much quieter. Other wise a great experience with food and and service.

    we went for the happy hour which is a great offer! lots of good options on the happy hour menu. the waiter was ok but not great, he was looking at his phone a lot. We really enjoy this restaurant and keep going back

    Inexperienced staff, over-priced dishes, incomprehensible menu. With many open tables, sat us next to loud, annoying, over-indulgent mother and toddler. Unpleasant dining experience totally.

    What a wonderful meal! The salmon sashimi was SO fresh and some of the best I’ve ever had (and I’ve had a lot). The Chicago Fire roll was super flavorful and substantial. Great food, service and ambiance. Very highly recommend!

    We frequently go to sister restaurant 501 Local, but this was our first time at Jimoto ,and it won't be our last. The food and service were both excellent.
