Specializing in both Cantonese and Shanghai cuisine, Dim Sum House provides an eclectic menu of notable dim sum & authentic Chinese dishes in the heart of Rittenhouse. Food and service were great. Love the dim sum. Bit windy, and the street can be noisy. Overall, a great evening outside for dinner.

We were seated for our reservation after a short wait. The ambiance of this place is absolutely lovely. The outdoor seating is a little close considering Covid and the staff (an older female server) touched my chopsticks w her bare hands. Outside of that the food is absolutely delicious.

Our server was great. Food was average. It was not a socially distanced setting unfortunately, if that’s what you’re looking for. They were sold out of the soup dumplings which is why we went but hey, that happens. Overall, it was fine. We would consider going back when they are open again inside and when things are “safer” again.

The crystal shrimp dumplings, the brussel sprouts, the congee, and the custard buns were excellent. We had hoped they would have the dim sum samplers that are offered at the 40th Street location but they did not. Prices are reaonable.

This is my second time at this restaurant and it was just as amazing the 2nd time around. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone. Two Thumbs Up, Jane G's!

Food, esp. appetizers incl. dumplings, was excellent. The entrees were creative and well-seasoned. I think the menu & food were definitely better than Jane G’s prior restaurant at this location, and similar to her Dim Sum restaurant in West Philly. I’d definitely come back!

We were there on Valentine's day for the restaurant's opening night after being closed for about 2 months due to a kitchen fire. The restaurant is now Dim Sum House by Jane G's with a menu that duplicates their University City location, specializing in Shanghai and Cantonese dim sum, along with some of the Sichuan dishes they had before as entrees. The food was as delicious as it was before the fire. As expected on an opening night, the service was a bit disjointed and slow, but not in an annoying way. We will definitely be back in the future to sample more of the menu.

I had a reservation for 11:30. The restaurant opens at 11:30, I arrived a bit early, saw people inside but walked around the area until 11:30. When I got back, they still had not opened the doors. Another individual was also waiting. I waited 10 minutes and still nobody came to the door. Tried going around to different windows to see if we could get someone's attention but there was no one in site. Ended up having to leave and take my business elsewhere.
