At 7:15PM, the upstairs restaurant was completely empty except for us. No one else arrived until we were finishing our meal, and that, too, was just one table. I ordered the artichoke appetizer, which turned out to actually just be poorly-marinated artichoke and iceberg lettuce, and the halibut, which was acceptable, and some reasonably edible grilled vegetables. My husband ordered a pasta dish, and observed that it was similar to army dinners, and commented that he’d’ve been better off with a box of spaghetti and jar of sauce from the grocery store. Also, the appetizer was brought out at the same time as the main courses, crowding the small table, which was already crowded with assorted superfluous drinking glasses. The wrong wine was brought... like, very wrong. Merlot instead of a white Burgundy. I’m not sure that our server could have handled more than one table at a time, but that’s ok because, apparently, that’s all they book. The space itself is pretty. Everyone is polite. We won’t be back.

The waiter was ridiculous- her attitude stank as if she didn’t want to be there. She told us that the risotto & pasta were the only GF options available. I knew that wasn’t true as I’ve been to Jaks in Chelsea. We asked her a few times to make sure. She claimed she’d asked the chef! We then asked another waiter who had also spoken to the chef and told us that there were other GF options.. so I was mystified by the original waiters miss information?! Certainly don’t want to be served by her again !! I love Jaks so she won’t put me off

Lesser known Mayfair cafe with generous portions and outdoor seating for people watching. Recommend the meatballs - they sell out daily!

Went for a business lunch with a colleague in the upstairs restaurant - I had the salmon which was perfectly cooked and the service was very quick. We had a look around the whole venue and noticed a beautiful hidden bar in the basement so we came back with the rest of the office after work! Great cocktails, tasty pizza and lovely ambiance.

Great space and loved the live band the restaurant just had a really nice speakeasy vibe! The food was nice to but pretty standard.
