   Love the food at Jaguar. Fresh, authentic, hand-made Mexican food that is always exceptional in flavor. This service has always been a little slow, which is forgivable for delicious hand-crafted food. But this particular evening, the service was REALLY slow. Two servers for 15 tables with no host or busser. They did give us free chips and salsa and a generous pour on the glass of wine to compensate. But still gotta figure out the staffing mix.

   Small Mexican restaurant that was recommended to me by a foodie. Our meals were delicious, taquitos and chili relleno. Food was very fresh. Serve wine, beer. No margaritas.

   This is the best Mexican food I have ever had. Try the Tinga dish! Service was also Great.

   Sorry, but there was nothing positive about this experience. The service staff was overwhelmed and the food was very marginal. These folks need to start over ...

   The food tasted very good and an excellent choice for Mexican cuisine. The chicken enchilada was old style with the meat and sauce on top. A bit scimpy on meat quantity. Ingredients were fresh. The trout with mango salsa and the lobster were delicious. The main negative is high noise level created by one room with no dividers between tables and plaster walls which reflect the sound of conversations. A few arty Mexican tapestries on the walls might help cut down on the reverberations.

   The food was awful. Both myself and my friend did not finish our meals. I got expensive dish, special for Mother's Day, lobster and prawns. It was bland and a little off flavored. Macaroni salad was tasteless. My friend got another Mother's Day special, rainbow trout which she probably only eight 5% of. The server seemed more irritated than helpful when we pointed out that we weren't enjoying our mail and we ended up paying full price for it. I will not be back.

   The food here always tastes incredibly fresh - definitely farm to table. The shrimp ceviche was delicous andI also got the shrimp plate and the shrimp were grilled perfectly without being overdone. My friend got the vegetarian taquitos and she said they were fantastic. Our waitress was very attentive and sweet and offered to customize items. I don't understand why this restaurant doesn't have a line out the door. My only guess is that it's the ambiance is lacking a bit. Lower lighting and some decor might help. But if you are looking for a delicious, hearty and fresh meal definitively check Jaguar out!

   Very disappointing. After seeing great reviews we chose Jaguar to celebrate our anniversary because we are fans of regional Mexican cuisine. The salsa was canned and bland. The Frieda Kahlo soup, advertised as 'spicy' tasted of sweetened tomato water. The chips with beans and guacamole was good but lost points due to the funky salsa. I ordered the shrimp with garlic and orange sauce. The shrimp was tasty but the sauce appeared to be the food dyed red sweet and sour served in Chinese Restaurants. Although Jaguar advertised home made tortillas, my husband was presented with a cold, gummy, much refrigerated tortilla. And then, there was the flan. It was a square chunk of 'grey' overcooked egg with hundreds of bubble holes in it (it looked like worms had been in it so zero points for presentation). Their website shows a picture of a beautiful single serve flan but that is not what we were given. It looked like it had been cut from a jello mold and was not tasty. I don't know what happened to Jaguar. It received such great reviews when it opened. Wish we had gone a year ago. Not much to save now and we will not return nor recommend it.
