   Great spot for NY celebrity sightings . Service is very good . Food comes out fast . Maybe too quickly . Felt a little bit rushed without being too pushy about leaving . We were running a little late and I called to let them know and the person who answered was extremely great about it and told us not to worry because they had a lot of free tables available. I would definitely reserve for future visits especially on the weekends. We started off with the fried zucchini chips. Very yummy. Then ordered the Maya’s breakfast bowl and the mashed avocado on seeded bread. Both were delicious but I would choose the bowl next time. All in all a good New York must.

   Amazing all around! Can’t wait to go back. The wait staff was incredible- every person who tended to our table was attentive, knowledgeable and just all around fun and friendly!

   I crave their yogurt with honey granola and grapefruit…so good! And they’re peri peri chicken wings! Great place!

   The best way I can describe Jack's Wife Freda is if you took an "American new bistro" menu, but added Mediterranean touches. The Prego roll is everything a steak sandwich should be, and then some. Skirt steak (medium rare recommended by the staff) marinated in aromatic spices with garlic butter and sautéed haloumi cheese on a warm, fresh Portuguese roll. Savory salmon on a bed of yummy squash spaghetti. Schnitzel with a breading that hits all your taste buds at once. Meatballs? Sure, but these are Persian meatballs served with tahini and pine nuts. We also shared a fantastic beet dip with warm pita and a platter of fried haloumi cheese. The decor was simple but pleasant. The place was quite busy (4pm on a Saturday) and a little noisy, but in an "we're alive" kind of way. Despite not necessarily having a dedicated server, we were always checked in on and the staff made excellent recommendations. Everyone on the wait staff had a smile, even joked with the table. Very friendly and helpful. Note that they have multiple locations - this one was on Lafayette - and I sure do hope the quality, service, and food carry across all of them because our experience was fantastic.

   The food was really good! I highly recommend the salt and pepper eggplant. It always comes out hot and the tzatziki was amazing. The green shakshuka was also really tasty the challah was nicely toasted. However, the restaurant is pretty loud so just keep that in mind!

    We made a reservation but still had to wait in line outside in the cold for 10-15 mins when we got there. Spoilt the experience
