   This was the second time I have eaten at Jacks. Both times I was very happy with the service and the food. We had reservations for dinner and we were seated promptly. Everyone should eat at Jack's on Marion (but please, don't everyone show up on the night I want to eat there).

   This was the second time we've been to Jack's for your early bird menu. The dinners are delicious and the portions are generous . We also enjoyed Happy Hour ! Our server , Richard, was top notch!

   We were in Port Charlotte for a show and decided to come down to Punta Gorda's Marion Street for an early dinner. I read great reviews of Jack's online, so made a reservation and am so glad I did. Had a terrific meal and a terrific deal! Between 4-6 pm, there are 5 or 6 entree choices to choose from for $13.95. It includes the entree, soup or salad, bread, and dessert for each diner. "Whatta' deal!!" I had panko/macadamia encrusted tilapia and it was the thickest piece of tilapia I've ever had. And I eat a lot of tilapia and a lot of fish. Cooked perfectly - moist and tasty. Caesar salad was good - w/ the option of anchovies. My husband had sofrito roasted pork - slow cooked, tender, delicious! Drafts were $2.50 at that hour and house wine was $3.50. We sat outside and we were served by Nicole, who was always there when we needed her. Terrific service, terrific food, terrific deal!! Need I say more? :)

   The food was better than our previous visits. Only one wine list was available and all menus did not have the items which made for confusion in ordering. Waitress (Lexie) was outstanding

   It was a busy day so service was slow but waitstaff was very nice. Steak sandwich was good.

   Food was awful, very bland. One of us had steak and it was not flavored at all. Not tender and very difficult to chew. I had the chicken Tuscan and it had no flavor either. The lemon butter sauce on the pasta was very buttery and oily. I would never eat here again. Atmosphere was strange for a Friday night. We were seated alone in a big area while everyone else was gathered in the bar area. Outside was playing loud music that completely contradicted the inside ambience. Server was very nice though...

   The prices during the early bird period is very good. The Happy Hour wine and beer prices are also quite good. Perhaps it is just what I had ordered, but I was not overly impressed with my entree. The service, however, was excellent.

   Being from out of town we were not aware that this is a casual bar type restaurant. Our booth was comfortable and away from the bar so all was good...until the main courses arrived with the appetizers! No one offered bread when we sat down or with our salads. We skipped the appetizer. What a shame it was going to be Tuna Poke which looked delicious but our warm food was already delivered. We were also looking for an aperitif before dinner from their FULL bar...:( No such thing. The wine list had a good selection. The food was fortunately really good so we left happy. This should not have happened at a #1 rated restaurant.

   Our group of 8 recently visited Jacks. Everyone was very pleased with the menu, table, food, and service. It was a wonderful experience and all agree it's on our "to do again" list. Thank you management & staff.

    Open spacious atmosphere. Good food. Decent happy hour. Nice area to walk around before and after diner
