   Have been there 4-5 times before and it has been always much better than this evening....Kind of disappointing as we took my husbands Stepmom, who had never been there before. There was 4 of us, my food was good and my mothers food was good... My husband ordered the cubano sandwich and it was horrid..... His Stepmom ordered these lobster appetizers (4 bite size morsels for $12) and they were just okay.... We ordered a bread plate, (they do not give you bread with your meal...) and a cheese board which was just okay. I noticed the salads were sadly lacking and they usually have a good salad. The dessert was good

   Great food, atmosphere, service and multiple gluten free options. Nice wine selection and Sarah was such a great server. She was filling water, getting drinks and on top of it. She was probably the best server I have had in 2 years. The short rib was perfect and the steak had a great farm fresh flavor.

   I have been in twice before with friends on business and have had pleasant experiences so decided to treat my wife of 35 years to a valentines dinner. We were greeted warmly upon arrival and took to our table. It was a busy night which was nice to see. Entertainment was a nice touch and our server Jason was professional and very attentive. We started with the house made red wine & fig bread. Moist and delicious. We both decided to go with the features for the evening. My wife's steak was creative and perfectly cooked and presented beautifully. The Chilean Sea Bass was as good as it gets. Thank you for a romantic night out. Best Restaurant in the area hands down! You can tell they really care because of the detail that is put into the entire experience.

   Met friends from Toledo, we are from west side of Cleveland. The drive was 50 minutes and easy to find. Our first time to J Bistro and this area of Sandusky. The menu is not extensive on the website, but they had many specials for the day to choose from too. I had the crab cakes (divine) and they made me a nice green salad. My husband ordered one of the specials: gourmet hamburger and truffle fries (he licked his plate clean). Both friends enjoyed their dishes as well. A place we will meet again.

   J Bistro is a very intimate setting to experience incredible gourmet food. The menu is full of unique, fresh entrees, with a lengthy wine and beer menu. The service is friendly and helpful and J Bistro is a close walk to the water!

   We have heard good things about J Bistro, sadly it was not our experience. We had a work holiday party there for 10 people. The menu was limited and 6 of the 10 did not like the food while the remaining 4 thought it was just okay.

   Date nights for me and my wife are few and far between. After our movie which was disappointing to say the least we decided to dine at JBistro. Our Server was warm and friendly and very attentive even though they were busy that evening which we were glad to see. The Menu small but creative. This is the kind of restaurant we usually travel to Cleveland to dine at. Our server suggested we tried the General Tso Brussels Sprouts to start. Caramelized and perfectly crispy. They were delicious. We wanted to try everything but after popcorn at the movies we kept it simple and I ordered the Breakfast Ravioli and my wife ordered the Scallops. We are foodies so we went with the most unusual flavor combinations. The Breakfast Ravioli tasted just like having breakfast at a local diner but elevated 20 times higher. Very Impressive for a Sandusky restaurant to be pulling off food like this. The scallops sweet and succulent and placed on top of a salty buttery popcorn puree. (not that we didn't get enough popcorn at the show but these were worth the double dose) . Our movie was two thumbs down but we give JBistro two thumbs up for a wonderful evening out.

    J Bistro is a wonderful spot in the heart of Sandusky for dinner or lunch. It is well appointed, and wonderful friendly staff makes you feel very welcomed and comfortable.
