   Everything is good here except the deafening noise. There was a band at the bar and we chose to be at the extreme far end of the restaurant. It was still so noisy as to prohibit conversation. Not necessary! Even on a regular, no-band day, it is very loud. Some sound baffles hanging from the ceiling would help a lot.

   Amazing food! Great service. The ambiance was energetic and fun without being too loud. Great beer and appetizers. The duckfat popcorn was incredible! The place was great for a date but also fun for groups. I wish there was a restaurant like this where I live.

   Great for foodies. Special menu and good happy hour from 3 to 6. Will defiantly go back soon. Heard they have a great burger they grind their own meat.

   We were looking for a place for dinner in Santa Cruz. There were 6 of us and 2 infants. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating. I had a very unique Salmon dish. The flavors were good and the salmon cooked tender and juicy. The beer and wine selection were great too. I can't wait to visit again when I return to the area.

   The duck fat popcorn was unusual and delicious. The calamari was in a bowl, after awhile all the squid on the bottom got soggy and was unappealing. The burger and fries were very good, but they don't have pickles unless you ask for them. Order the secret sauce on the side it's too sweet for my taste. There is an energetic crowd at the bar with lots of flat screens. Unfortunately the chairs are metal. Bad for the lower back, so you can't stay long.

   A fit-for-foodies menu (with excellent food to back it up), great beer, and friendly and attentive service. Our first time here ... definitely won't be our last!

   This has been consistently good for us. They try to locally source and use organic and I'd like to see more of that.

   We had heard great things about West End Tap. The space was unique and packed on a Sat. night. We had to wait 15 min. for our reserved table which was okay but that turned out to be the theme of the night. Our server was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We settled on Calamari appetizer, salmon board, a salad and the burger. The calamari came out almost immediately but then we had to wait 45 minutes for our other selections. We also had to wave down the server to get beer/wine refills. We were seated right beside the open kitchen and by the time our food came it had become uncomfortably hot and the food had lost it's appeal. We would also like to see sandwiches offered at dinner. Overall a "Meh" experience.

    Took a party of 10 here for our son's college graduation luncheon. Busy day and our server was swamped, but he managed to keep everything flowing. Great beer list, imaginative menu, tasty and fun. We sat in an enclosed booth with chalkboard above - chalk on the table so, of course, we wrote congratulatory notes to the new grad! Really liked the oval table - it made talking and dining together much more interactive. We will definitely go here again.
