   Everything was just okay. We’ve been here in the past and always had an excellent experience. We have been to Travail also with an excellent experience. We had high expectations but this just kind of missed the mark for us.

   So glad IE opened again after being closed. A few changes to the menu but the mushroom tagliatelle is still there, so all is good. The salmon was fabulous, along with the arancini and the chopped salad. The only thing I would not order again was the Lumache with shrimp. The shrimp was, well, too shrimpy. Kind of like when you get a piece of fish that is "too fishy". The shrimp was small, dry, not fresh tasting. The pasta was cooked perfectly and the sauce was tasty but the shrimp was off putting. It would have been much better with a few large shrimp on top. So many other wonderful pasta options to choose from though. Don't forget to get dessert! Topping off a great evening out was the staff. They are so good: the front door host, our main server, everyone who brought the food, poured more water, brushed the crumbs off the table, replenished fresh silverware. They work so well together.

   The food was excellent! Our server, Avery, was very friendly and experienced. She gave us wonderful service. We will be back!

   We had a great time at ie! This was our first time visiting, we moved to the neighborhood around the time the original closed, and were thrilled when it came back as ie by Trevail! For a group of two we ordered the chopped salad, lumache pasta, pork chop, and cauliflower. It was more than enough, and everything was delicious! Our favorite was the cauliflower and pasta. We are looking forward to sharing this place with friends and family!

   Party of five, all ordered something different. Three of us really liked our food. One was indifferent and one said her pasta wasn’t done. We shared a dessert, which four of us loved, but the fifth person thought the lemon sauce on it was curdled due too use of too high heat. I got up at two in the morning sicker than a dog. I think maybe the mushrooms in my Cappalletti were bad!

    It is so nice to have an authentic modern Italian restaurant in Minneapolis. Great festive ambiance too!
