Built in 1880, The Inn was at one time a brothel, until it was raided by federal officers. The Inn was a favorite site of cowboys and teamsters, who appreciated the fine foods and jovial atmosphere.
Over 100 years later, the Inn at Tres Pinos is now a San Benito County Historical Landmark, carefully restored by owner, Mike Howard. The ambiance is intimate, rustic, and elegant. It’s country with a touch of class, and decorated in a style that is a reflection of Mike’s personal interest. Mike's grandfather taught him the the art of fly-fishing, and every year the family still fishes together at the Big Wood River in Sun Valley, Idaho. Mike married Mary along the Big Wood River in 2010, and the Inn has become a true family affair. Mike’s philosophy is “Keep it fresh and keep it simple.” His staff is personally hand picked and will make every effort to meet your expectations. The Inn at Tres Pinos is the only four-star restaurant in San Benito Country.

Worth the drive. Food delicious service excellent. Great for a special occasion. Delicious specials husband had rabbit on Easter and carrots. Don’t know???? Was that sacrilegious???

As always we had a wonderful time and dinner! Lane is our favorite server and Morgan always makes sure we have our favorite table!!! Love the Inn

We have lived in Hollister for 5 years and this was our first visit to the restaurant…….it won’t be the last. We booked an early reservation (5:30) mid week to avoid the crowds. So the noise level was low, by 7:30 it was at a medium level. They have an excellent selection of food to choose from and it was cooked to perfection. The service was also excellent. This is definitely the best restaurant in the county. Iam only sorry it took us five years to get here. Thanks for the great experience.

Everything about our dinner and service was great except what the bar charged us for one drink. My husband ordered a Brave Bull and was charged $35.00 for it. That is the most he had ever been charged anywhere. Needless to say we were shocked, and will never order drinks from your bar again. That drink was more in cost than a dinner.

The version served included a double pour of top-shelf Reposado tequila (our current offering) and Kahlua, a premium coffee liqueur, which significantly impacted the price. As this was a unique request, we acknowledge that pricing may not have been clearly communicated, and we sincerely apologize. Had an amazing meal with friends, the prime rib was the best. Our waitress Stacy did an excellent job explaining everything all our questions.
