   I’ve come here for lunch, regular dinners and special occasions with friends. The food never disappoints and they serve generous portions. I love the variety in the menu. It’s become my new go to for Italian food in San Diego. So authentic!

   Good food, not so great service. We also had a reservation but it was as if we didn’t … I’d go back because the food was good - but don’t expect much re service!

   This was my second time dining at II posto and I’m so happy i went back! We started off with the artichoke appetizer which was phenomenal. Next, we all shared a wedge salad, which in our opinion could have had more blue cheese dressing and chunks of blue cheese in it, but overall was still very good and then for the main course, I had the chicken Parmesan, my husband has the Cotto e Fungi pizza and my MIL had the chicken Marsala. All three were delicious and portions were generous! Overall will definitely be goi by back!!

   We met for lunch and the doors were closed and the restaurant was dark inside! Why would Open Table even accept my reservation when Il Posto is not open for lunch?!? The website does say that it’s open seven days a week opening at 11:00 am. There was no sign on the door either!

   Place is insanely good. Atmosphere is a little loud but staff was extremely accommodating. Definitely a place I’d return to.

   Amazing food, casual, comfortable and also somehow upscale. We had an amazing meal, and they were wonderful with our 6-year-old.

    Highly recommend Il Posto! I have enjoyed every visit here. The food is fantastic, and they have a lot of options for folks with dietary restrictions, such as gluten free and vegan.
