Chef Mario Marfia was born in Sicily, Italy and honed his craft working as a chef in the Mediterranean. He brings those culinary and cultural influences to El Paseo in Palm Desert, and the New Downtown of Palm Springs.
Il Corso restaurant offers genuine Italian hospitality serving a wonderful variety of traditional Italian dishes, fresh salads, homemade pastas, wood oven pizzas and delicious seafood. In addition to our regular menu, Chef Mario prepares nightly specials from all over Italy like “the world’s best gnocchi,” and our house specialty, roasted leg of veal. Start your meal off with an Italian style inspired cocktail and remember to save room for all of your favorite Italian homemade desserts to complement your dinning experience.

This was our 2nd experience at Il Corso after a horrible experience a few years ago. Our dirty martini and Aperol Spritz were ok but we have had better. We split a Caesar Salad which was ok. Our entrees were ok but not memorable. There are better italian restaurants in town. Our server also didn’t have a lot of personality and acted like we were an inconvenience. We saw her spend more time at the hostess station. We will like not return.

WE are retired and eat out frequently. We were surprised how easy it was to get into II Corse restaurant in Palm Springs. We we found how why there were few people eating , and most time slots were open!! THE FOOD WAS TERRIBLE. MY CHICKEN PARMESAN WAS OVER COOKED SO BADLY IT STUCK TO THE PLATE AND TASTED TERRIBLE! THE PASTA WAS NOT AL DENTE IN FACT I DOUBT IT WAS EVEN MADE THAT DAY!! PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO SOME PALCE ELSE. WE CERTAINLY WILL NEVER RETURN. OUR RESERVATION AT II CORSO WAS CANCELED BUT BECAUSE WE COULD NOT GET IN ANOTHER RESTAURANT WE WENT AHEAD ANYWAY . WOW AM I SORRY.

Bolognese Pasta, lamb and oysters were excellent! We had dinner at the bar and the bartenders was very attentive and provided outstanding recommendations. Wonderful welcome from hostess ! Will be back.

Came here for a girls weekend dinner. We ordered the special Dover sole, margarita pizza and Tagliatelle with Truffle. The best dish was the truffle tagliatelle. I would come back for the pasta. Service was good and attentive.

We were seated outside right next to where the extra chairs and heaters were kept. Salads were good but the entrees were only warm not hot,

Great food and service and atmosphere! Service level kind of disappeared after our entrees arrived. Complimentary birthday dessert was nice but was not good. Suggest better quality option to leave guests on a positive note
