Had a very enjoyable dinner with friends. Brandy was extremely efficient, never let our drinks run dry, and paced everything perfectly. Steaks were cooked perfectly and everything was delicious. Thank you for a fabulous evening!

Well after a less than stellar steak was served to us last month at a very prominent restaurant at Easton Town Center, which restaurant will remain unnamed, we were very impressed and delighted with the quality of the food at Hyde Park in Upper Arlington. Every single aspect of the experience was noteworthy. It was a little difficult to find a parking space when we arrived for our 7 pm reservation on a Friday night. But the staff directed us to a lot across the street we could use. We were seated immediately. Chris was our server. He was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, although to tell you the truth, the four of us already knew what we wanted. This Hyde Park location is a little off of the beaten path. Last month when I went to visit a friend at a nearby rehab facility, it occurred to me...Hyde Park...that's the place we'll go when our friends come to town in April! And all four of us felt the same way. Hyde Park offers more options than steak, but based on the four of us, we'd say, if you are in the mood for steak...this is definitely the best place to go. My husband and I shared the chopped salad...superb! I had the escargot, and it was the best I'd had in a long while. At the table we had two of the Steak Kosar dishes, it is served Oscar style with half a lobster tail, bernaise and bordelaise sauces and asparagus. Another had the Steak Woody. (My husband and I shared a larger portion of the Steak Kosar.) We also had a side order of Lobster Mac & Cheese and each couple shared a wonderful Butter Cake Bananas Foster dish. The atmosphere was vibrant but certainly quiet enough to enjoy conversation at our own table and not bothered by hearing the diners at other tables. Hyde Park has just become our new favorite restaurant for steak. We won't forget it is tucked away there off of Old Henderson Road. Now if others read this...it will be harder to get a table. Tip: Make a reservation!

Unfortunately we had a bad server which diminished our experience. We have always loved Hyde Park UA and this is the first time I’ve had a bad steak that was overdone. Our server just was not very good and did not listen well, and wanted to rush us along. The last time we dined her was on my birthday, which was Valentine’s Day, and our server that time took amazing care of us. This time, our salad was out before we were done with our appetizer and my steak arrived before I was done with my salad. And my steak was well done (ordered medium rare). The lamb appetizer was amazing which saved my experience but definitely need to request a different server and also make sure that our dishes are served with more time in between. We were celebrating my fiancé’s birthday and would have spent more on beverages had we had the opportunity. So disappointed and so unlike any of our other experiences here.

Great service and wonderful experience. We ordered the Tomahawk steak medium. Steak came out rare so we asked to cook some more. Steak came out well done. Unfortunately we had them hold our au gratin potatoes until the steak came back. Unfortunately the potatoes came back cold. The location in UA is our favorite Hyde Park and always enjoy coming here. Occasionally though, there is a miss with the steak preparation.

Steaks were cooked to perfection but the sides came out lukewarm and almost cold. Will definitely be back again for any special occasion. The manager asked how our steaks were before we even got to cut into them and was never asked about how the meal was after that.
