Unhappy that the only thing my husband & I could eat to cater to our diet (gluten & dairy free) was apparently not an option. The process of working with our sever took a long time before we knew what was safe to order. Ended up ordering what we didn’t really want or pay for but settled considering we didn’t have reservations else where. Restaurants should include more options for those with specific diets or at least keep the option open to order regardless what special occasion it is.

They do have "live music" between the main dinning room and bar...right in the middle and it is way too loud. Sorry, I like live music but when it is overbearing it kills the atmosphere. Our service was compromised by the noise because our poor server just couldn't hear us.

I always get into trouble when I give an honest review. I don't want a call back, I don't want another chance, I'm just telling it like I see it, so maybe someone in charge can make adjustments. We made reservations, made it clear it was our anniversary, we got seated in the farthest corner of the restaurant, near an open door where just feet outside, was a pool full of screaming kids having a pool party. It may have actually been the quietest part of the restaurant, there was a single musician playing to a room of fifty diners, with the amp turned up like he was at Wembly Stadium. I had to speak uncomfortably loud just trying to be heard by my wife, sitting across a wonderfully crappy table, dirty, with scratches and scars on it. I was seated on a bench, at least 50 years old, that I sank into, placing the table right at nipple level. I am 6 feet 2 inches tall, so my nipples are up there. I wasn't having any fun from the start, so I had a beer, hoping a little alcohol would lighten my mood. The beer arrived in a plastic cup. Looked like a regular tumbler, but it was PLASTIC! No mood lightening here. The beer was cool in temperature and Maui Blonde is a tasty beer. Wife had a Mai Tai, which was plenty strong, so her mood got lightened! There were at least two vegetarian selections; my wife is reducing her intake of animal protein for health reasons. She had Mac Nut Pesto pasta. I had baby back ribs. I don't know when it became popular to pile food on top of other food, but the ribs came out looking like they should have been in a cereal bowl, not on a plate. About six "finger" potatoes (we call them seeds on the farm), the seasonal vegetables, which was four baby bok choy that had been sitting in the steam table for several hours, and literally six little ribs. not even half a rack, $28. All neatly piled on top of each other, like a little food landfill. Ribs might have been cooked in a pressure cooker, there was no char, no Millard Effect (sp)

Our server Kristine was outstanding!!!! But the food ABSOLUTELY & TOTALLY SUCKED!!! 40.00 rib eye, the worst I ever ate. Ahi poke nachos my husband hated. The fish was white looking & old, not pink or red like raw Ahi suppose to look like, & the wonton chips was stale, he said tasted gross. For such a high price the food needs major major work. WE WILL NEVER EVER RETURN!!! The only thing that was actually good was our lava flows from the bar and our waitress Kristine. We know it wasn’t her fault that the food sucked & we didn’t have the heart to complain to her cuz she was so nice!! OUR ANNIVERSARY DINNER=TOTAL FAIL!! Thanks Hula Hulas for the horrible experience;(

Yes, I would recommend for the food. The band was way too loud. Could barely have a conversation. In fact the waitress brought the wrong drink because she did not hear the order correctly. All of the wait help were very attentive.

Service was extremely slow, most of the restaurant was empty, yet they said they were very busy. The best part of the meal was the appetizer cheesy garlic bread. Will not recommend nor return
