   Love Hudson house so much. This is our 3rd time as we have gone to the Houston location twice! Our waitress Sandra was a doll! Always highly recommend this place.

   Excellent food and atmosphere. Pricey for the meal but worth it. We had the oysters, avocado dipping sauce, lobster mac & cheese, lobster roll(s), steak frites and drinks. Noise was high at first but tapered off as the evening went on. Alex was our waiter and was amazing. Highly recommend him if you go.

   HH has a terrific Happy Hour menu. Half-price martinis, $10 cheeseburgers, $3 oysters. However, they have a new policy. If there's no room left in the bar, you're out of luck. OpenTable Reservations are not honored for the bar area. You're seated in the Dining area where you're charged full price on all items, even though the Happy Hour menu is printed on your menu.

   They need to bring back happy hour throughout restaurant not just bar only. Several open tables throughout happy hour. Seems silly not to offer it for tables also, would fill up the place more during those hours for sure

   The food is wonderful. It is not a huge place so it can get noisy. Their specialty is oysters. I do not eat them but my friends eat them. They loved them! They say they have the coldest martinis too!

   Best little neighborhood place around . And it’s no secret, so you better make a reservation ahead of time.

   Love Hudson House! They need more waiters as they’re understaffed it seems. 5 stars anyway

    If you make reservations for a regular table, this WILL NOT give you the opportunity for happy hour prices on food/drink. Found that out the hard way. Brought some friends to experience their food and drinks. When I showed up I was told I would need to wait an additional 45mins for a table if I wanted happy hour prices, even though I already had reservations. Then, if I wanted to wait 45 mins for that section, I could enjoy happy hour prices for 15mins. They need to rethink this for sure. And definitely let people know, before they show up, when they've had reservations!!

    Hello Heather, Our sincerest apologies on the lack of communication given to you regarding our happy hour policy. When placing a reservation we do send a notice with the conformation regarding our happy hour, as well as having it on the menu, however we do know that things like these can be missed. We are constantly coaching our staff to speak to our policies and will continue to do so, as to make sure that our guests are aware and do not feel surprised by the policy.
