Thoroughly enjoyed the meal. With it being the Festival we could only booked for 5.30 which was a little too early for our party.

Food was outstanding, service super, and a wonderful menu with a nice selection of choices. The lamb, salmon, and chicken dishes were all to our liking. The food was served at the right temperature and timely. Outstanding place to dine.

Fair prices and a varied menu. I had a delicious, light, beetroot, goat's cheese and orange salad followed by proper comfort food in the shape of the lamb casserole. I initially felt a bit under -dressed as I had spent the day walking around the city but it didn't seem to matter as the atmosphere was pretty relaxed. All in all a very pleasant dining experience.

Another enjoyable lunch was had by our group of 7 retirees. The warm welcome and excellent service throughout the afternoon from all of the staff coupled with a wide selection of food at each of the 3 courses along including an enticing range of Daily Specials resulted in yet another memorable leisurely lunch at Howies. As regular visitors to Howies we particularly enjoy the ambiance, excellent choices of food, quality of food delivered, opportunity to BYOB and excellent value for money. The professional attentiveness coupled with a relaxed attitude from the staff makes for a great time.

We had lunch on a busy Saturday, the fixed price menu had a good choice of starters and main courses. We ordered bread but it never arrived and while the waiting staff were quick to take our order it was 45 minutes before we got our starter. The starters were great, nice big portions and well cooked and presented. The main courses were hit and miss. Hit was the chicken and the mussels, miss was the burger, which was over done. Shame - as I've eaten here before and really enjoyed it.

We enjoyed a late lunch in howies Victoria street. Restaurant was busy however this did not impact on the level of service or quality of the food. We had the 3 course special meal - good value, plenty of choices per course and good servings. We took advantage of the BYOB and corkage is very reasonable
