   This was my second time visiting Hot Pot Hero and I was not impressed at all. I made a reservation for Christmas at 5 pm for 12 people and a baby. When I arrived, the host asked if we minded the private party room, even though it only fit 10 people. This meant that some would have to share a hot pot. I agreed because I thought the room would at least be big enough to accommodate us, but I was wrong. The room was so tight, and I’m not even sure if ten people would comfortably fit, let alone twelve! We made due with the room and placed our order. This is were the real problems began. We were told to place our order on one sheet, which we did. However, more than 3 of our items were forgotten. We were also never given instructions on how to use or turn on our hot pots, so a lot of our machines would turn off while trying to heat up. When we pressed the call button, we had to wait for over 5 minutes. Once, I had to call the waiter into the room because he kept walking past us. Halfway through our meal I took my 15 month old son out of his high chair to hold and give some food. A waitress walked in and asked if she could have the high chair because there were a lot of kids who needed high chairs. I was taken aback because we were clearly still in the middle of our meal and it felt odd that she would ask, but I agreed. When we finally finished our meal we asked for the check and the waiter left it on the table, without any clear instruction or information about splitting the bill with large parties. When he returned we gave him cash and asked the rest to be split between the cards provided. He came back quickly after charging my card a larger amount than anticipated. He then told us that they can only charge up to 4 cards and we had provided 5. This was truly a disappointing experience and we will not be returning.

   Great to see a hot pot place in Baltimore. The overall experience was great, and the staff was friendly. The mushroom broth was one of the best I've tasted at hot pots. The spicy was really spicy, so be prepared. Beef tongue was a nice option to see. Prices were fair, so overall a great experience. Make sure you go with a group as it is an interactive experience.

   If you are looking for something different, this is a good place to go. Be prepared for some unusual items on the menu (like trachea). Sort of like fondue but with broth instead of oil. The meatballs and lobster balls were not good but the other food was fresh.

   This was my second time here and I loved it. Not super expensive unless you make it that way, but it was delicious and filling. I would go back in a heart beat. I just wish there was one closer to Towson!

   Fun, fun, fun! Delicious food. Very fresh. Options for everyone. Helpful and attentive servers. We are going back soon.

   This restaurant was recommended by a Vietnamese friend. The vegetables were fresh as was the fish. The soup was very tasty. This was our first time going so we will be back again. Everything is ala carte so you need to watch what you are selecting.

   Was excited to try a hot pot experience in Maryland. Made a reservation on Open Table. Hot Pot Hero did not know about the app Open Table and did not have the reservation which resulted in waiting 45 minutes to be seated. Once seated, we had questions about the food as this was our first time trying this spot. The waitress was not knowledgeable about the menu and could not answer any of our questions. Food was ok.
