This place was a disappointment. The singapore noodles had no flavor, the Peking duck was served as whole pieces with mexican flour tortillas, getting rice was a challenge as they only gave you individual bowls, service was poor due to lack of training and limited staff, the golden mountain chicken dish was like chicken funnel cake

took more than 10 minutes for someone to even greet us... we said "we have reservations" and the girl helping us looked at us blankly and then walked away... we were not sure what to do... so we stood there hoping to catch the attention of another employee... a few minutes later, a different girl approached us and we said, again, "we have reservations" she said "nobody told me, hang on..." and left us standing there for about 5 minutes while she got a table ready (mind you, it was NOT busy and there were MANY tables empty) we finally get seated and the server just walks away!! nobody servers us water or tells us about the menu... nothing. we sat there for a good 10 minutes more before a lady from the tea place came up and said hurriedly "you ready to order!?" we said "we have more people coming" annnd... she just walked off. our friends got there right after that and we all talked about what we might order since this was our first time here and we wanted to sample lots of things off of the GIANT menu! after another 15 minutes we started noticing that other people had come in and were already eating!!! we were feeling really uncomfortable at this point and questioned if we should go talk to a manager... we decided to just wait a few more minutes and see if anyone would help us... it was comical at this point! after about 5 minutes more, we got up and walked out... not a single employee batted an eyelash as we all walked out... HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!!!! I will never go back... it was NOT BUSY! the staff were not friendly... we were literally ignored!

We waited more than five minutes at the entrance to the mostly empty room before being approached, and the waitress/hostess/busser seemed confused as to why we were there. When told we had a reservation she seemed surprised, and asked if we wanted "hot pot or regular?" Huh? It was a confusing and uncomfortable start. The menu is comprehensive, but they no longer offered the first thing we ordered (Pan-fried Pork Buns). We then ordered the Steamed Mini Pork Buns as a starter, the Peking Duck, the Hot and Numbing Combination and the green beans. She apologized in advance, saying since they were serving a large party (8) it may be awhile. The beans showed up almost immediately, and they were very good. It took another ten minutes for the Hot & Numbing thing; it was acceptable. The duck came after another five minutes and it was mostly bones. The Mini Pork Buns finally arrived long after we had finished dinner. The waitress was a sweetheart, but very difficult to understand, which is our failing, not hers. The prices are acceptable, but given the quality of the service and the average food, the value for the money was seriously lacking.

The servers were kind and quick to help us. We were a party of 5 and ordered 4 dishes to share family style and it was plenty of tasty food! The lamb dry pot, beef flat noodle, green beans, and spicy boiled fish all were flavored and cooked well. We'll be going back!

really good food with really good service from Andrew! we had the pork belly which was seasoned very well, the whole trout was VERY good and spiced perfectly, basil chicken was good bit not great but the beef noodles were the star...excellent dish. the only let down was the bang bang shrimp which was too sweet and "jelly"...scallion pancakes were spot on. hard to find as it is inside the supermarket but worth the find.

The service was poor and the food was worse. Seems authentic in design but the food was terrible.

I took my nieces here for a fun Chinese New Year dinner. We split a hotpot (chicken with white soup) and an order of fried rice. The hotpot broth was delicious - some of the best I've had - and had a good amount of veggies cauliflower, bokchoy, chicken, mushrooms. The chicken is "Chinese style" cut through the bone, which is a negative for me and the reason I wouldn't order another chicken hot pot, despite it being so delicious. I think a boneless style would be a good idea and would appeal more to Westerners. I would have liked a bowl and spoons rather than the deep plates and forks, since the broth is so delicious. I've never had hotpot before though, so perhaps that is how it is intended. The rice was great too, with Chinese sausage rather than the usual ham - much, much better. One major flaw was that my green tea was served at room temperature. I think they would benefit from serving it with a teapot, as most places do, so that the time between pouring and serving doesn't result in lukewarm tea. My nieces thought this was a very fun dining experience with the hotpot flame, and the setting, but I would have preferred a more cozy setting. The restaurant is beautiful, well-decorated, and fun, but unless the place is packed it feels a little awkwardly large and quiet. Service was friendly but slow to greet us at the door and to get drinks, etc. However, the server bringing by a confection for dessert to celebrate the first day of the New Year made my nieces (and therefore me) very happy. I think they're still figuring things out, but as everyone was friendly and kind, and the flavors were top-notch, I will be back.
