   Had the greatest experience celebrating my birthday. I’m not sure I understand some of the negative reviews. I am an American and was treating so kindly and warmly. Would recommend to anyone visiting Rome.

   Warning. If you are American and don’t book through a hotel you will be seated in a back room that is depressing. Additionally, the service will be sub par. I can’t recommend this restaurant due to how they profile their diners.

   Went there for lunch.The food was average and the house red wine was excellent. We felt rushed with the service.

   Resented being seated in a room of all Americans. Food okay, but much better dining options elsewhere.

   Incredible food and service. Wonderful menu with great selection. When in Rome you absolutely must eat here. Its in a beautiful old historical site which provides incredible ambiance. I would give it more stars if available.

   We had an incredible meal and waiter for our first dinner in Rome! The ambiance was amazing even on a Monday night! The old ruins look really cool. Definitely get the truffle and sausage pasta. The suckling pig is incredible and my husband loved the carbonara, though I was too full to eat it all! Highly recommend.

    It was our first time in Rome and this restaurant was suggested by a local. The food was good but the server didn’t speak English and we had a difficult time understanding each other and he wasn’t very attentive. The ambience was wonderful but we would’ve liked to hear the background of the building and any special dishes or suggestions and we were left alone for hours. We weren’t given any bread or dessert cookies as other tables were given without requesting. We received bread only after we asked.
