Australian wine bar and restaurant. Famed for our creative cocktails and heavy use of Australian ingredients across the whole menu. We are a bustling neighborhood restaurant in the heart of Carlton North amongst the leafy trees of Rathdowne village. We have lots of outdoor dining and sitting on the deck feels like a little trip to Europe. Our food is clever, very seasonal with a casual and honest style.

We have a private dining room, a courtyard and can do functions and events.

Currently offering achoice between two set menus as well as a grazing a la carte menu for drinkers and snackers.

On the weekends after dinner we have an emphasis on our bar with Dj's until close

    From the moment we walked in the door, we knew it was going to be a special night. The service, the cocktails, the food. All the dishes were spectacular. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend for a romantic night.

    The food was quite tasty (particularly the main) but I didn’t feel the cost of $75 per head presented good value for money. The sizes weren’t overly generous, for example, for main, we got one tomato salad between 5 of us and 2 small beetroot plates to accompany the kangaroo. It was enough for each person to have a taste but didn’t walk out feeling blown away.

    My date and I were most impressed by the experience. The chef's taster was outstanding. Never had kangaroo in my life but really enjoyed it. Beautifully prepared and delicious. Best of all was the exceptional table service from 'Magdalena' who really made us feel at home, was super attentive, knew her wines and suggested a great combination for our meal. The ambience was just right (probably because it was a Sunday) All together, a wonderful dining experience. We will be back!

    new favorite local :) I would really recommend the house spritz - it was great. Service was fantastic and they catered to my dietary requests.

    Such a gem in Carlton North! Great menu and wine selection with outstanding, easy-going service. the perfect place for a drink and dinner with a group of friends or date.

    Excellent meal with many interesting dishes and a wide array of flavours. Sharing of the plates also made extremely easy by the staff and chefs. Suggest they might update the wine list as doesn't quite match the quality and range of the food.
