Located in the heart of Gramercy in the restored Assembly Hall of the landmarked United Charities Building, Hawksmoor is a steak restaurant that celebrates all-natural, pasture-reared, and traditionally dry-aged beef. Our beef is seasoned simply with sea salt and cooked over live-fire charcoal. Our seafood is locally and sustainably sourced from northeastern waters and we use small-farm produce whenever possible. On Sunday afternoons Hawksmoor keeps with the tried-and-true British tradition and features a Sunday Roast.

Completing our offerings are award-winning cocktails, including New York City's coldest martini, and a carefully curated wine selection. The restaurant houses 150 in the dining room and 35 in the bar area. There are also two private dining rooms that can hold 12 people and serve exclusive, family-style menus.

Sunday Roast

Sundays at Hawksmoor are all about our Sunday Roast: all-natural, dry-aged, slow-roasted Rump served with crispy beef dripping potatoes, Caraflax cabbage and carrots, gigantic Yorkshire puddings, lashings of bone marrow & onion gravy and the option for a side of cauliflower cheese or slow-roasted bone marrow and onions. Sunday Roast dates back to the 15th century where large joints of meat were roasted on a spit over an open fire; to achieve a similar flavor, we start ours on our charcoal grill and finish them in the oven. Many who've had a Sunday Roast equate it to a Thanksgiving dinner – a comforting, filling meal that is best in the company of loved ones. And, should a Bloody Mary, or two, be consumed alongside it, who are we to judge?

You guys rock!!!!!!!!! This place is incredible, the ambience, the service incredible cocktails, and delicious food. Absolutely everything about this is a stunner. I’m very tempted to try to brown butter wash some bourbon here at home ….

We have a party of 4,and we order: Porterhouse for 2,a Ribeye,a fillet and half roasted lobster,bone marrow with onions,scallops,fries,creamy spinach and the drinks. Everything was delicious,we all were delighted with the food and the service was top notch And as far as the value,it is NYC so it’s comparable with the city lifestyle: Be ready to $$$$pend. The only downside (my humble opinion)it is the noise level.So,be prepared. Definitely will recommend and hopefully will be back if I have to.

Was very excited and heard great things. But quite a disappointing meal. Sent back the sides, steak was small, under-seasoned and lacked marbling for the cost. NYC has a ton of great steak houses, look elsewhere from here.

Great Meat. Service was only OK. Very slow on drinks and had to remind them of a lemonade for my daughter that and had to ask for a straw twice. Cocktails weren't amazing. Nice venue. Wine options by the glass limited.

Scotch Bonnet Oysters, Cherry Negroni, and Sunday Roast we're all spot on. Jess at the bar was absolutely phenomenal and made the experience one to always remember. I can't recommend Hawksmoor NYC enough. It's one of my only must haves on every trip to Manhattan.
