Welcome to Hawksmoor Chicago, where we bring our acclaimed steakhouse experience from the UK to the iconic LaSalle Powerhouse in River North. Our ethos is simple: ‘Buy the best and let it shine.’ We serve all-natural, pasture-reared, dry-aged beef from US family-run farms, cooked over charcoal and seasoned simply with sea salt. Our seafood, sourced from trusted Northeastern fishermen, is prepared with equal care.

In our 16,500 sq ft space, featuring barrel-vaulted ceilings and touches from the Golden Age of Travel, Hawksmoor is perfect for any occasion. Whether you’re stopping by for cocktails, a casual lunch or a special celebration, we make sure you leave full and happy. We also offer private dining for groups of 10 to full venue buy-outs for 500—ideal for birthdays, anniversaries, weddings and corporate events.

Sundays at Hawksmoor are all about our Sunday Roast: all-natural, dry-aged, slow-roasted Rump served with crispy beef dripping potatoes, Caraflax cabbage and carrots, gigantic Yorkshire puddings, lashings of bone marrow & onion gravy and the option for a side of cauliflower cheese or slow-roasted bone marrow and onions. Sunday Roast dates back to the 15th century where large joints of meat were roasted on a spit over an open fire; to achieve a similar flavor, we start ours on our charcoal grill and finish them in the oven. Many who've had a Sunday Roast equate it to a Thanksgiving dinner – a comforting, filling meal that is best in the company of loved ones. And, should a Bloody Mary, or two, be consumed alongside it, who are we to judge?

Plan for a massive feast of dry-aged rib chops grilled over live-fire charcoal embers, roasted sausage-stuffed onions, smoked bacon chops, briny oysters, Guinness rarebits, boozy accompaniments, and so much more. Took my wife to Hawksmoor for a birthday dinner of just the two of us. We enjoyed the scallops and the salmon appetizers, a porterhouse to share and the creamed spinach and mushroom sides. We enjoyed all of the food and would recommend them. The server was nice and knowledgeable but a bit casual for the venue. The ambiance reflected what I’d expect with an urban steakhouse, with exposed brick, and warm welcoming lighting. Overall we enjoyed it and will come back, especially looking forward to trying the Sunday Roast.

Best steakhouse I’ve been at in a while here in Chicago. Service was top notch. NY Strip was fantastic, char on the beef was the proof point which provided the real flavor. You don’t need the accouterments for this steak but they are there if you want. Get the Peanut Butter Louis if you have any space left for dessert. Toffee makes the flavor pop. Anyway, enjoy!!!

Wow this place was great. Approachable way to do world class beef dinner. The type of place you can go to for a lot of different situations. Great with allergies as well, they handled my wife’s dairy and gluten allergies wonderfully!

Get new knives, literally couldn’t cut my filet with their steak knife. Steak was actually tender and delicious but knife could barely cut it. I even asked if they had different knives and they didn’t. Took work group who always goes to expensive steak houses and everyone loved the food but everyone struggled to cut their steaks. If I’m paying for an expensive steak I expect a knife that can cut through the steak.
