Harvest at Pheasant Run is wonderful. One of our favorite entree is the salmon with sautéed vegetables and a brown sauce on the sweet side. Enjoyed the potato leek soup on this cold and rainy evening. Topped dinner off with fried Oreo dessert which was spectacular. There isn’t anything on this menu we haven’t liked.

To be honest, I wasn't expecting much at Harvest considering they are getting ready to close the resort soon, but I had some gift cards to use up. Went on a Friday night. The Prime rib offerings were an 8 oz or 12 oz cut. I asked if I could get a 16 oz cut and just up charge me. Server readily agreed. I have been at Harvest probably 15 times over last 10 years or so, and this Prime Rib was the best I ever had there. Potato leek soup was excellent, as was the creamed spinach and Brussels sprouts. Also got a couple deserts. Overall was very pleased with our meal. Service was slow, but I can't blame the server, she was getting the orders in and food/drinks out as fast as they were prepared for her. I believe they are running on somewhat of a 'skelton' crew', but I applaud them for providing high quality food until the bitter end. I will miss Pheasant Run.

Food is great so sorry to hear that it’s going to close after the beginning of the year. I so wish some one could buy it and keep it going

We were greeted very pleasantly and promptly when we arrived and seated in a booth as we specially requested in our reservation. We have been going to the Pheasant Run for 20 years never knew about Harvest there is no advertising and now appears Pheasant Run is encountering some issues hopefully will to affect the Harvest, absolutely wonderful restaurant. Our server was Andrea and she was fantastic very attentive, made order recommendations, our table was always looked after and she was a very nice person. Food fantastic, ordered Salmon excellent, also one in our party ordered Lamb Chops again excellent, and the third was Lobster Ravioli again excellent. We ordered Caesar salads so good... there was no bottle Caesar dressing it was home made, the lettuce perfect. We are definitely planning our next visit after the holidays. Deserts were unbelievably good Fried Oreos, Key Lime Cheese Cake, Apple Cobbler Skillet ... This is one of the best meals and experiences we have had in a very long time and we do frequent highly rated restaurants including in Chicago the Harvest did not disappoint in anyway.

A bit disorganized when we arrived on time. I sensed they had a shortage of waitpersons as we waited 10 minutes after being seated for someone to acknowledge us. It was a Saturday night and they had a couple of large tables with people laughing and screeching which made talking with my 3 other dinner companions difficult. One of the servers was an older gentleman who was quite brusque and rude when retrieving and serving dishes. The food was okay, nothing exceptional. Our waitperson, once she showed up, was pleasant and seemed knowledgeable about the menu items we asked about.

Three of the four meals were excellent. My rack of lamb, which I was told that it was good enough to die for, was terrible. I brought guests to you restaurant because I had experienced great meals in the past. I ordered my rack of lamb medium rare and it was, at best medium well if not well done and had very little flavor. That is definitely the way to ruin lamb.
