   The food was jut ok, some things up to their usual standards but some disappointments. Biscuits were not flakey, mushrooms on the toast rubbery, service frazzled.

   The pork chop was delish. The steak was great. Good wine list. The menu changes fairly frequently. Always a great meal and awesome service.

   We love Harper's & have been loyal and regular patrons since they first opened. The food has only gotten better. The cocktails are always a highlight. One issue was frustrating this past visit. We made an early dinner reservation of 5:30pm and walked into an empty restaurant We requested a booth and were told we could not have one. The back room is not as nice as the front, but that's where we were put. We were told that because of "timing" we could not have a booth. For a regular customer, this is not good business The place was empty and we should have been accommodated. I didn't want to make a fuss so I let it go. Perhaps it would have worked out if I had made the request in advance.

   Took a while for a server to get to our table, but when she did she was pleasant. Salad was very good, but entrees (pork schnitzel and a salmon) were just okay. Pork was too thick and overcooked. Bartender pours a small drink. Parking in the village is impossible. Not a place we will rush back to.

    Harper's offers wonderful local dining and drinks. It's a great place for couples or groups of any size, or even solo. The room and bar are comfortable, and there's a lovely courtyard garden open in the warm season.
