   Always wonderful! Food and service never disappoint. Last night I tried their crispy rice appetizer for the first time and it is now a favorite item! Great atmosphere if you want a fun night out without the drive downtown. I love that this gem is less than 15 minutes from home.

   The main thing about Harney Sushi is that I haven't experienced better service anywhere else. The service far exceeded expectations. I can't remember better service anywhere else in my life. Everything was delicious. Even the wasabi tasted fresh-made. Also, I didn't expect anything different from other places as a vegan, but it turns out there are a lot of really nice vegan items on the menu. There were also plenty of other options for the other people in my party, of course. I am from out of town but when in town I will certainly want to come back.

   Super fresh sushi served in a fun, hip environment complete with a Friday night house DJ who lifted the vibe with fun but appropriate music (with a healthy dose of freestyle from the 80s which was right up my alley) at an appropriate level where the music could be enjoyed but you could still hold a conversation. Service was excellent! Friendly, knowledgeable and attentive but not overbearing. Great selection of rolls that you won’t see on every other menu and as I started my review by saying, some of the freshest sushi I have had in San Diego

   We ordered the orange crush roll and the sea spider roll it was a fantastic pairing! The orange crush had the richness of the salmon and cream cheese, a touch of spice with the spicy tuna, and the crunch of the shrimp tempura. The sea spider added a touch of welcoming acidity with the sauce on top of the crunch from the soft shell crab and the spicy crab inside. The best part of dinner was the Chef’s Special 15 piece nigiri. The 5 pieces of toro was a beautiful touch. The quality of the toro was the best I’ve had in San Diego! Would definitely recommend for people trying to get some quality sushi for a good value, would go again!

   The food is Outstanding, by far the best sushi place I’ve been to. Every single one of the items we ordered tasted amazing.
