   We had the BEST experience at Harana’s lumpia cooking class and couldn’t recommend it more highly. Chef Chris taught us how to make their inCREDible lumpia recipe (and everyone got 24 to take home and freeze to cook whenever you’re in the mood for some delicious food!) and then once we were done rolling spring rolls, everyone from the small group cooking class dug in to a family style Filipino feast of truly exceptional food. This was a great experience!

   My partner and I drove an hr and a half from NYC just to try Harana Market. It was SO worth it. The drive to Harana Market was a beautiful, winding road through a forested mountainside. Once we arrived, we were pleased to discover that Harana Market is right next to a quaint river and gorgeous view of mountains in the distance. The staff who greeted us and our waiter were clear, friendly and kind. I ordered the salabat, arroz caldo and the fried chicken. The salabat was warm and super gingery- perfect for the balmy spring weather. The arroz caldo was incredibly comforting, super yummy and packed with pulled chicken. And the fried chicken was so delicious, flavorful, sweet (I believe it might have been from a honey coating) and savory, of course. I wish I could have ordered their halo halo because it looked to festive, playful and delicious, but I was too full at that point. So we picked up some udon packets and other fun grocery items from their market and our waiter simply added them to our overall bill. The decor was very warm, open and welcoming. They even had art by local Asian-American artists hung/ for sale throughout the space. I would ABSOLUTELY return the next time I’m in the New Paltz/ Accord-area.

   We loved this restaurant and the food. U can tell it is a work in progress and that is the best part. We love supporting and being part of a new experience. U feel the heart and taste the love whether its the food or conversing with the nicest staff. They are working hard to bring an experience and they delivered. They are hustling. So i invite you to go and watch them grow. The food was over the top AMAZING!

   Everything was excellent. The nicest and most helpful staff I’ve encountered in a long time. Food was fantastic and unique. VERY reasonable. Can’t wait to go back.

    Fried chicken was amazing as always. Also enjoyed the beef stew on a chilly day. Cozy charming community centered place.
