   The Sri Lankan buffet was on first appearance good, a selection of meat and veggie dishes, nicely presented. The starter arrived without any checking with the group as to dietary flags. Out of our group was vegetarian, so of the two starters (fish balls and veg spring rolls) he could only eat the spring rolls. I was disappointed we didn’t have vadas, or another Sri Lankan short eat which would have been more fitting instead of spring rolls. Also the fish balls were very bland, I did ask if they had some sambol but the gentleman who served us, initially didn’t understand what I was asking for and then after further explanation advised they didn’t have any traditional sambol or chutney. The main buffet as said looked good. There were 3 veg curries, an aubergine salad, 2 meat and 1 squid curry all served with saffron rice and popadoms. Everything was very bland. It all merged into one, there none of the zingy flavours you get with traditional Sri Lankan cuisine, not a chilli in sight. Also missing some of the other traditional spices that would normally make up the very distinctive flavour profile of Sri Lankan food. The only dish which had some real flavour was the aubergine salad. Such a shame that they have chosen to not serve authentic food and instead altered it for a different market. The potential was there is be a stand out restaurant but sadly they have missed that mark by some distance. Perhaps paying attention to more recent trends and demand for authentic food that really tastes like what you get in the country would help them understand that what they are currently serving is forgettable and really does a disservice to how wonderful Sri Lankan food is.

   'Vadas/sambol' are served in North Sri Lankan or South Indian cuisine! 'Vadas' are NOT prepared in our Sinhalese houses. You were informed of all food upon your arrival and your guests said that the "food is absolutely wonderful". In Sri Lanka, the 'fish balls' are called 'cutlets' and any Sri Lankan will tell that they are NOT EATEN WITH SAMBOL! 'Not a chilly in sight', because they are used to spice up our dishes! Sorry we couldn't serve the 2* Indian food that you wanted at our restaurant!

   Great authentic home cooked fresh food. Owners were friendly and made us feel we were very welcome. Would definitely recommend and will visit again.

   Great Sri Lankan buffet on Friday and Saturday evenings. Very courteous and friendly family run business. Really enjoyed the food, the spiciness of the dishes varies from not at all to quite spicy, if you're unsure the chef is available to talk to which is lovely.

   A lovely place to try if you havent ever had Sri Lankan food like we hadnt. 9or even if you have!)The owners were lovely, polite and attentive to our needs, we stayed at their hotel and ate both nights here of which both were perfect

   Not enough choice and not good vslue for the money.It was all curries.The restaurant is very tastefully decorated & the ownets very nice.Maybe we shpuld have gone for the Alacart.
