Exceptional food and a stunning atmosphere! We were blown away by the lamb chops – truly the best we've ever had. The branzino, beef kabobs, and calabrese pizza were also outstanding. The dramatic evening sunset skyline provided the perfect, unforgettable backdrop. Highly recommend!

Halani was stunning in design, and the food was flavorful and well-presented. The cocktail menu was absolutely top notch - innovative, locally inspired, but still palatable. Service was very compassionate and our server gave great recommendations, but it’s clear that the staff were stretched too thin. This was probably an especially busy holiday weekend, but the experience fell short here. We waited probably 10 minutes too long to receive a dessert menu, then another 15 before our server was able to return, and at that point we had decided to just head out instead of trying one. If Halani can staff up or manage their table commitments better, this would be an all-around top notch experience.

HaLani was incredible. The resort itself was beautiful, the restaurant interior was stunning, and everything we ordered was delicious. They sat us at a table where we’d have a nice view of the sunset and all of the staff was awesome. We got the bread balloon, dip trio, falafel, halloumi, fried zucchini, trio of skewers, Caesar salad, orzo salad, Waygu steak, and the roasted cauliflower and it was all fantastic. Would definitely recommend checking this one out.

For the being the hotels "mid level" restaurant, the food was very over priced although good in quality. We were also very disappointed to see that they have eliminated the live music which we used to really enjoy. The menu is new offering only small plates at a very high price. Also, we love children but there were so many running through the restaurant, screaming, even knocking over chairs, that is was hard to relax while there. In our opinion, this does not compete well with the Mauna Kea hotels mid level restaurant which is the superior Copper Bar.

Food was very good. Only item I wouldn’t recommend was the anchovy toast., which was bland and undistinguished. Service was very spotty. Our drinks took forever to be served. When they arrived, my drink was watery on top from melted ice, a sure sign that it had been sitting a long time on the bar, waiting for our waitress to puck it up. We had asked to have our apps with our drinks, but we had another long wait for them. And before we could even begin to enjoy them, our dinners arrived. Timing was all off. Our waitress was very pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu, but she had too many guests to take care of, including two large tables near us. The setting is beautiful, however, and we will give Halani another try. Hope they solve their service issues.

Beautiful ambience. The service was great and it was special to see the tiki torches being lighted just after the sunset.
