The oldest family-owned winery in California offers distinctive, small-production wines in an historic and bucolic setting, and is well known for warm, fun and educational hospitality.
Founded in 1858, Gundlach Bundschu is California's oldest family-owned winery. The historic estate, currently run by the sixth generation of the family, sits at the intersection of Napa, Sonoma and Carneros, and ideal location for visitors as well as for growing world-class wines. The 159 year-old vineyard ranges from the valley floor up the steep western slopes of the Mayacamas Mountains, uniquely allowing the winery to grow both Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon on the site, as well as small lots of intriguing wines like Tempranillo, Gewurztraminer, Cabernet Franc and Zinfandel, most exclusively available at the winery.
