    The Grotto is a nice change of pace in Galveston from the abundant fried seafood restaurants. Upscale Italian food, beautifully served. I highly recommend the shrimp scampi appetizer and the Chicken San Luis as a main course. Also they have a very nice selection of wines, many available by the glass.

    The Grotto is beautiful location serving outstanding food. Noise level was extremely high making conversation difficult. Waitress seemed overloaded and wound up forgetting to order salad we were going to share. She held up our entree order and got us the salad. Entree came before we could finish salad. It’s great location spoiled by noise and waitress.

    Grotto at Sa Luis Resort is a great choice if you stay there or are looking for great food along Seawall Boulevard. The food is always good and the ambiance is top notch.

    This was an amazing dinner. The food was fantastic, the cocktails were great and the butter cake for dessert was delicious. 6 stars

    Party of five; Ordered dishes included: spaghetti bolognese, chicken parmigiana, fettuccine Alfredo with chicken, linguine pescatora. The fresh bread was phenomenal!

    Another great visit to the Grotto. The problem is there is so much great food on the menu it’s hard to decide! We both had the San Luis Veal, great as always. The appetizer was mozzarella padella and it was great. Julia made really good drinks. I had a red sangria and my wife had a Mexican Martini. Jerid and Nicholas took good care of us. Looking forward to our next visit.

    The food was very good. The server was attentive without being intrusive. We had a wonderful view of both the pool area and the water and enjoyed people watching.
