   Problem making reservations. The number listed has a reassuring message, but doesn't return calls. And reservations are not available on Open Table. I belong to a bridge group that has been playing bridge and eating lunch there once a month for several years. March 15 will be our day and I can't get in touch.

   We had an 11:30 am reservation, but for some unexplained reason, they posted a sign that they would not open until noon that day. With a computer reservation, they should have either changed the available time, or allowed us to sit down. As it was, we sat outside their closed gate and watched the staff prepare for lunch service. Bad show.

   We went to the Thanksgiving buffet dinner but found it somewhat disappointing. The only part of the so-called buffet was the salad bar. after you were done with your salad you were told to alert the waiter and they would bring you one plated dinner. That was not our idea of a buffet that this hotel used to do. They used to put on a beautiful spread and you could pick and choose from the buffet what you wanted. The plate of food served for Thanksgiving was typical but didn't have a lot of gluten free choices. it was very expensive, didnt even include one glass of wine and the gratuity was added to the bill automatically so the servers didn't work very hard for their tips and we had to wait a long time to get our bill it was very very very disappointing I wouldn't return for a holiday celebration.

   The Thanksgiving dinner was delicious. The restaurant is good for families with children. The booths are especially nice.

   CHEF WAS AWESOME, JUST MADE A BATCH OF CLAM CHOWDER. THE FOOD WAS AMAZINGLY GOOD. I HAD A CLUB BLT AND IT WAS SO GOOD. PLUS I COULD ONLY EAT HALF THE PORTIONS WERE SO GOOD. I WOULD GO BACK AND DO IT AGAIN.

   Food was inventive (can't remember exact combination of ingredients but lavash and hummus and some delicious surprises) and pleasingly presented. Garlic fries were proclaimed "the best ever" by my companion. Burger came with fresh trimmings. Wait person helpful and courteous after a bit of initial confusion (no, we aren't here for some geriatric confab even tho we are both elderly). Place was empty except for us. Sad, as they say. Very nice place, worth a visit.

   Stayed inside the Hilton, so of course had to try the internal restaurant. Smaller menu than we expected, but we had marvelous cocktails, and perfectly cooked steaks with lovely side dishes. Appreciated the attempt at them lighting candles, but the ceiling is literally glass, so it's not exactly cozy-romantic for a date. Also, a bit odd having hotel room hallways like RIGHT above your head.

    It was a Saturday night at 7:30 and there was only one other table occupied. Fortunately the food was good and our server very good. I don't know why it was so dead being that the hotel was full. We were just happy to have a decent meal and go right to our rooms after an 8 hour drive!
