As Charleston's premier steakhouse, and member of the Great Steak Houses of North America, our menu is one of the few in the country that features 100% USDA Prime Beef. Located at the luxurious Market Pavilion Hotel in the heart of historic Charleston, we offer a dining experience like no other. All of our beef selections, including the filet mignon, are hand-selected and wet-aged 42 -50 days to ensure tender texture and unsurpassed flavor.

At Grill 225 we place a great deal of emphasis on seafood harvested from both local and International waters. Using only premium ingredients such as local sustainable seafood as well as exclusive premium domestic and international offerings.

Private gatherings for rooftop cocktail receptions and events up to 275 guests.

Dress Code:

Food was a mix—excellent shrimp & grits but veal chop was just ok. Service was excellent but they need to fix their valet parking situation as I had to wait 15+ minutes before the valet showed up to park my car. (He was also doubling as the hotel’s bellhop)

We got there and they told us our reservation was not in their system, but I did receive the confirmation email from Open Table. They said something like the reservation never made it fully into their system. We were celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary so this was terrible fornky wife and I. My wife ended up crying. They ended up sitting us a crappy table in a high traffic area up against a huge post. There were several other tables available but they would not move us. We asked a few more times to be moved and they continued to said no and were very rude. We left and went to Magnolias where they did not have an open reservation but we let them know about the experience we just had at Grill 225 and it was our 10 year wedding anniversary and they told us to give them a few minutes as they felt so bad and they could see how upset my wife was as she had tears in her eyes. A few minutes later they called us up and walked us to a table where they had a happy anniversary card on the table. Magnolias made our night so special.
