The Grapevine Grille at Westbend Winery & Brewery. With vineyards established in 1972, Westbend Winery and Brewery is one of the oldest operating wineries in North Carolina. Part of the Yadkin Valley AVA, the vineyard includes 40 rolling acres of different vitis vinifera. What started as a family business continues today with the Breathwit family. Owned and operated by Walt and Sonia Breathwit since 2015, Westbend reopened its doors in October of 2016. We have crafted a variety of wines and beers, which are available for tasting throughout the week. Each wine has been locally sourced using only the finest Yadkin Valley grapes. Tastings can be conducted both in the new facility Wednesday and Thursday from noon-6pm and Friday – Sunday from noon-7pm. Westbend Winery and Brewery invites you to come enjoy a glass of wine or beer, soak in the beautiful views and be reminded of its rich, long history. When you visit, you become a part of that history and a part of the Westbend family.

Relatively new restaurant associated with West Bend Winery and Brewery. The food quality is very good and the fish chips was prepared perfectly. Lightly fried with excellent taste to the fish and the fries (chips) were not overly greasy. The brown beer is excellent and very smooth. Other members of my party enjoyed the Chambroucin red wine. We dined outside overlooking the winery which was nice, however as one would expect flying bugs are attracted to the food on the table. Opted not to dine inside due to temperature setting was extremely cool—I would say even cold and I am generally hot preferring it somewhat cool. The atmosphere is of an old farmhouse and feels very comfortable. I can recommend this restaurant for every day dining, dining with friends and for casual large party get togethers.
