   We went to Good Neighbour with 12 of my colleagues for our team Christmas dinner. We has SUCH a fantastic evening, everyone absolutely loved it and raved about it for the rest of the week. The food was tasty, beautifuly prepared and presented on the plates in an elegant way. Given the size of our group, the restaurant kindly offered to prepare a special menu for us, with a mixture of the starters and mains they offer on their regular menu. This was particularly nice, as we all got to try lots of little dishes - and it’s so worth it, as every single one of the ones we had was so tasty. My personal favourite was their signature artichoke dip, which is the equivalent of getting the best/warmest hug ever, but with food! Overall the food was just amazing. Simple in nature, complex in flavour. The dishes are inspired from all around the world, so you will feel you have sampled food from the Middle East (harissa-spiced cauliflower), Italy (gorgonzola/hazelnut filled gnocchi to die for) or France (St Marcellin fondue) all in one evening. We really felt at home, like we were having dinner with friends. The staff were so attentive without being overpowering. The service could not be faulted. At the start of our meal, as the organiser of the group, I went to have a little chat with their team and it was just so nice to be asked about the little details e.g. if we wanted to have the food served right away, or if we wanted to have a drink first whilst waiting for everyone to settle in. It sounds small, but that’s what makes the service excellent. The atmosphere is extremely cosy and warm. You feel like you are dining out because the dishes are sophisticated, the decor has a rustic but polished feel, but it’s not pretentious. This place is a local gem. The food & staff were a delight, passionate about food and definitely know their wine! Looking forward to coming back!! Thanks to Paul, Ebony and Steph who were all involved in making our evening so great and enjoyable.
