Everything started well. We had a choice of where to sit, the service attention was outstanding, the starters were good (I had the fish soup). Then it all went wrong - I ordered the fish and chips and my wife the Sea Bass. Our meals came out and the waiter was proud to tell me "Fish and Chips" and also handed my wife her Sea Bass. I waited and waited for the chips - they did not come; so I started to eat the very small portion of fish (in batter). It was salty, too salty to enjoy. The service and waiters had apparently disappeared. When we finally found one, I asked to speak with the waiter who took our order (because it was he that said "yes" it comes with fries). Anyway, the waiter asked if he could help and when advised, brought the fries in double quick time. First taste was bad and I was shocked about the amount of salt visible on each fry, then the taste was way too salty. I left them after enduring a few by dipping them into the side dip. I have never left fries due to the taste. I guess this was a first! I'm from England, so I know what a good fish and chips should taste like - this was not IT and definitely not worth what we paid! Oh, and my wife's Sea bass came with skin and you needed a magnifying glass to see it - very small portion for the price. She said it tasted good though. Overall, disappointed with the high price for the worst ever fish and chips! The head waiter thanked me for the feedback and gave us some port. Will they change the recipe? I will never find out because i will definitely not be going back and do not recommend the fish and chips

Horribly over priced for Portugal. Most expensive dinner we had in 3 weeks, and it was mediocre at best. And, they have the distinction of being the only place in Portugal that we visited that served stale bread!

We enjoyed the meal and wine at the Golden Catch. It is part of the WOW and is well run with good food and an extensive wine list. We would recommend this as a good local fish restaurant.
