   Loved Gjelina! Great menu selection and our server was fun and attentive and helped guide our meal with recommendations. Ate dinner here with my colleague and boss and it was a perfect weeknight choice for a fun but professional dinner.

   Brought in a 10 person group from a business meeting. Despite a lack of agreement around approach to menu around ordering and sharing, the service was attentive and brought a positive attitude through the the whole evening. The food was outstanding. Drinks very solid. The range of the menu is a great feature and nothing missed. Have been a fan of Venice location and will be back to this one.

   Incredibly unfriendly service…zero interest in accommodating any any minor changes to menu (don’t eat cheese..basically then don’t order..we make no changes to menu!).. Know restaurant from LA…will never go back to this one in NY…felt like they were doing us favor serving us the meal..

   My only complaint is that we were served and given the check 45 minutes after we sat down, the food was delicious -literally divine, but the speed with which the Food is prepared and arrives does not allow for savoring and lingering over a delicious meal. And to spend that money for a speedy meal also feels a little less than great.

   My new fave in NYC. Always loved the LA one but this one is fresher interior wise, gives you vibes as if you’re walking and dining in someone’s home with the many different areas. Loved the mussels and the duck confit.

   I specifically made a reservation at a time when “standard” table seating was available, but upon arrival, we were seated at the bar. When I asked the hostess if we could wait for a table, she said it would be at least 30 minutes and pointed to the fine print stating the restaurant reserves the right to seat guests anywhere. This was a client dinner, and sitting shoulder-to-shoulder at the bar made it difficult to talk business. There also wasn’t enough space for the food we ordered. I’m not usually particular about seating, but this really put a damper on the experience. The food is excellent, but they need to fix this system. If they offer specific seating options during booking, they should honor them.

   Amazingly fresh and flavorful food in a space that feels special. We tried a variety of menu items — cocktails, charcuterie, vegetables, pizza, pasta — and it all rated 10/10.
