   Restaurant was understaffed. Food was excellent but very long wait. 20 minutes to get bread and water and order not taken for 30 minutes. Over an hour to get appetizer then dinner served right on top of apps

   The food was very good but the service was unpredictable and average and the ambiance was unfortunate - looked liked wall decor from Hobby Lobby. It was a Saturday night and it was easy to get a reservation so we gave it a try. Nothing really bad in the reviews so we thought it was worth trying. And I can't say anything really bad either but I can't say anything great. It's too bad because we really enjoyed the food - Giorgio's salad, a pasta dish, salmon and grouper. Pasta tasted homemade. Presentation of the main courses needs improvement and the side dishes should be plated with the main courses rather than delivered later on small plates. With so many great restaurants in Sarasota I doubt we ever go back

   We are happy you enjoyed the food which in our opinion is the most important aspect of a restaurant. Decor is a matter of opinion but of course we respect yours. We are not sure what you mean by service was unpredictable? We will work on presentation of the main courses. As for the side dishes, we are an Italian restaurant and side dishes are served separately, as for it arriving together, yes, you are correct and we will improve on this aspect. We are sorry you will not be back.

   We’ve been dining at the spot since they opened after Mercato. During this time they’ve gone through a couple of shifts. The first one was excellent. They had especially good chicken piccata and chicken marsala and healthy fish choices. I also made excellent thin crust pizzas. We hope the new kitchen will bring back some of these favorites so we can continue to support this neighborhood establishment.

   OMG-we loved Giorgio's, but this was a nightmare... First of all, we were being told was they had run out of and it was 6pm only... After we ordered the waitress came back to tell us that they had run out of one other dish. She left menu and cam back after a couple of minutes to tell us that the chef had decided to cook what we had originally asked for. She than came out with the wrong dish and did not even realize. All but one in our party started to eat and she brought out a starter for the person who was out of luck, which was nice. When the last dish arrived all the others had finished. The pasta was overcooked, the special contained TWO shrimp. The waitress never checked on our water and only came back to ask if we wanted desert. Restaurant was almost empty and our seats will remain so, because this was very disappointing and we told all out friends they should not consider going again.

    Although they were running a special Christmas Day five-course meal, the very understanding Ellen (?) accommodated us, and we had the most delicious "piccolo pasto italiano" one could ever hope for. These seem to be two families with extremely nice people! We were served by Laura, who was outstanding. We will certainly be back. Buon anno ai nostri amici di Giorgio's.
