   Good quality steaks. Excellent service. Not pushy. We had a relaxing a great meal.

   As always, one of my favorite restaurants: a noisy, classic steak house; great food; great service and always a great experience to share with friends. And having our favorite server (Greg) and the folks who help him made the evening even better. A "must stop" for us in Chicago as it has been for over 30 years!!!!!

   From the moment we walked into the door, we were treated wonderfully. Once seated, we were treated to the sweetest, most attentive waitress! All ordering went well, and food was very good. Two of our table had a gift certificate and it made calculating the bill very farcical m but our waitress was extremely patient and sweet, while,we figured everything out. What a nice time! Love me a night at Gibsons! We ordered ribs, salmon, filets, double baked potatoes, creamed spinach, mushrooms and ice cream! Everything was delicious!

   Food was exactly as I expected and have enjoyed in the past. Superb steaks cooked perfectly to order. As it was a Tuesday evening and our reservation was early, we had plenty of time for conversation. Service was attentive but not intrusive. Our server, Arther, was wonderful and as we spoke briefly after dinner, we found that we knew people in common....small world. I am leaving the Chicago area, and will miss this restaurant, having had several enjoyable meals with friends and business colleagues. Sides are generous and meant to be shared. The wine list is extensive, and I am grateful that my companion has more knowledge in that area than I do. The espresso martinis are worth a visit on any afternoon.

   Gibsons is always a staple! Out server, Lee, started off so attentive but it was very busy and packed for a Monday night so it’s understandable that he got busy. We had to remind him to bring my friend his drink that he ordered. One of the men that assists with turning tables and packing to go boxes was a bit careless with our wrap up. The bags came back with oil smudges and food on them, which I can also understand if he was in a rush. He also had me check the bag myself and held the container of steak in my face to have me differentiate mine vs my friends food. That was a little awkward. In my fine dining experiences, they typically are able to keep track of who’s is who’s. The food and drinks were good! I recommend their margaritas and old fashion drinks

   Incredible vibe and energy, particularly for a Monday. “Old school” without being outdated, still a very fresh place and of course top notch food, drinks, and above top notch service.

   Always the quintessential Chicago steakhouse and always consistently excellent. The excellent food is surpassed only by the great service.
