   We were so disappointed. After reading some reviews we booked this restaurant for dinner for New Year's Eve. The restaurant is cute and the musician playing was great. We were seated right away. It was 15 minutes before someone came and took out drink order, but it was busy and the waiter apologized for the wait so no big deal. However, after 45 minutes our food order hadn't been taken and several tables in our section who arrived after us received much more attentive service and had ordered. We ended up leaving money for the drinks on the table and going somewhere else. I can't speak to how the food was, but the service was probably the worst of any place I've ever been.

   Gennaro's was great; nice ambience, delicious food, excellent service. I have no complaints whatsoever about Gennaro's but I do have a major complaint about Open Table. I initially made the reservation via Open Table and I tried for a 6:00 pm but your service indicated that they were fully booked for 6:00 so I made the reservation for 5:00. The next day I called Gennaro's and they said no problem with 6:00. I told the owner that Open Table was doing him more harm than good. I won't use Open Table again.

   This is a very quiet place which serves some of the best Italian fare I have ever experienced. The Caesar's Salad is a must - they serve it table-side in the traditional manner, which includes the coddled egg! The menu is extensive and they always have a tempting daily special menu. If you're looking for some place that is romantic and classy, this is the place to go!

   The server didn't speak English and customer service was horrible. There was no one to greet us and it appeared it wasn't even open because it was dark and quiet.

   Quiet restaurant that services good food. We were in town on vacation and decided to try this small restaurant located close to our hotel. Glad we did. My husband and I split a Ceasar salad prepared tableside, the sea scallops sautéed with saffron and tossed with tagliolini in a spicy tomato sauce and the filet mignon with a mixed peppercorn sauce. The salad was adequate, nothing special, but the main courses were flavorful. Our favorite dishes of the evening were the desserts. The homemade tiramisu was a special treat, as was the spumoni.

   Nice, cozy atmosphere with live music on the week end. Felt that the prices were a little high, but the food was good and service was attentive.

   I haven't eaten in Gennaro's in a long time. Surprised to find out that there were only four tables occupied on a Friday night at 7:30. The food is cooked to perfection and they have all the usual Italian standards (I had carpaccio and osso bucco) and some new items also like blackend salmon. There was a guitar player strumming the blues. Very good but it did interfere somewhat with the conversation. Service was excellent and we weren't charge corkage on the two bottles that we brought. A little expensive but definitely worth the cost. I would go here again, but am worried that it might need more business to stay open.

   The food and service was very good. We had a 7 PM reservation and there were only two other tables occupied. A couple more came during our 1 1/2 hour visit. I personally prefer a more lively restaurant. A musician was playing the guitar and singing. Very, very good background music. I do not understand why this restaurant is not better visited.

   We had an enjoyable meal. Caesar prepared table side was a treat. Ossobuco was a hearty dish and lobster ravioli very tasty. Food is authentic Italian, a liike bit heartier style than some of the Northern Italian fare around these days, but it's tasty and makes for a wonderful Meal. We capped it off with Spumoni Tartuffo for desert. It's the real thing.

    The restaurant is inexplicably always empty, which is surprising as the food is always superior in quality and reasonably priced. We have never had a bad meal here.
