Gaylords now rebranded as The Plantation House by Gaylords offers one of Kauai's most beautiful settings for lunch, dinner and happy hour. Located in the historic Kilohana Plantation home, diners are seated around an open-air courtyard with views of the plantation grounds and Mt. Waialeale in the distance. Our kitchen uses only the freshest, seasonal ingredients supporting our local farmers and fishermen. Our 67-acre sustainable farm provides much of the produce and herbs used in our dishes and cocktails. Menu items include starters like fresh Ahi poke, fried brie, fresh seafood, delicious steaks and vegan entrees too. Don't forget about our famous Banana Cream Pie for dessert! Take a walk around the Kilohana grounds, shop in our assorted boutiques, visit the Koloa Rum shop, go on a rum safari adventure or take a ride on the plantation train.

    We have dined at this restaurant at least 20 times and have always been very satisfied, until last nights visit. It was our 55th wedding anniversary. We made reservations months in advance. We arrived early to see the shops before dining, then waited in the bar until our table was ready. We were seated in the "happy hour" patio and not in the main grand dining room, there were plenty of tables in the main dining room. It took a while before our waitress showed up to take our orders. It was an eternity before the appetizers arrived and even longer before the main meal was served. I ordered the Filet which was disappointing and tough. My wife had the Ahi which lacked any flavor at all. Always before, the wait staff would mention the anniversary and make it the special occasion it was. But ours was just a passing comment about our anniversary. Color me totally dissatisfied. That will be our last outing at Gaylords, I will take my business elsewhere.

    Excellent service by server Tiffany, meatloaf was excellent! Cannot beat old plantation feel at Gaylord’s, beautiful grounds at Kilohana.

    Our server could not have been nicer .And the Seafood Oscar dish was outstanding . As was the outstanding surf and turf with delicious scallops And then there is the venue . So beautiful old school Hawaii. First reservation I make every year before coming here

    Came back here for the first time in years. Food was just okay. Not at the level for the price point. Restaurant grounds are beautiful but the tables/chairs etc felt old. Service was good. Needs a little TLC.
