   Excellent coconut prawn curry. Old fashioned decor but friendly service. Doors don't open before 6pm exactly.

   This used to be a destination Resturant as it has locations in Mumbai, and London. Used to have one in New Delhi too. However it’s not kept up with the times. Decor was poor with dirty carpets and food on floor. Only two waiter for the entire dinner service. The food was full of salt and the Naan was not prepared in a traditional tandoor over. My family has visited the locations in New Delhi and Mumbai and were expecting a similar environment in London. Sadly I will not be returning.

   Excellent early evening dinner. Gaylord is one of those rare Indian restaurants where the food is elegant and fine rather than rich and heavy. The meal was a real pleasure

   Delicious food in a great setting. Very attentive waiters. Only downside was that it was a bit pricey than I expected. Other than that, it’s somewhere I’ll go to again.

   Food - very nice but not particularly memorable. The curry portions are very large so I prefer to share number of them with a group. It’s a shame they only serve Thali at lunch so I couldn’t order for dinner. Ambience - it’s one big room with the tables spaced out nicely so not too cramped. We had a nice table in the corner. Staff - they were pleasant but it was hard to get their attention. It’s one of those places where specific staff are looking after your area of the restaurant so you can’t just ask anyone for something. Overall, it was a nice choice to go there with a group of friends and some good food.

   Good Food. Poor Service With Oblivious Staff Have been going to this restaurant for many many years. The service over the years has been oblivious. The restaurant is an icon in Indian cuisine for the fact that it has been around for such a long time. It is certainly overpriced, but I do like the food. There is no attention to detail. They may as well have robots as the staff, there is no human interaction. All staff need to be trained in people skills and be friendlier. Seems that we are doing them a favour by dining there. Additionally when the waiter came with the plates, he placed them on the next and wrong table. A few moments later he picked them up and placed them on ours. But the the other guests had already put their hands all over them. This is not acceptable. We had also booked with a discount on opentable, as this was the attraction along with the food. However when it came to paying, they did not include the discount, which is meant to be automatic, and this is embarrassing for the customer. I will return, but there need to be changes to the attitude. The Opentable discount at this restaurant is also very unclear ! It shows discount as 50% but the manager claimed it was only on Mondays, which was not clear on the listing at all ! As Gandhiji said: “A customer is the most important visitor on our premises. He is not dependent on us. We are dependent on him. He is not an interruption of our work. He is the purpose of it. He is not an outsider of our business. He is part of it. We are not doing him a favour by serving him. He is doing us a favour by giving us the opportunity to do so.”

    Underwhelmed. Food was ok. Veg samosa starter was superb but the pakoras were undercooked with raw batter in the middle under an over cooked skin. Mains were “ok” nothing special. Mock tails were actually really nice so kudos there. I won’t be coming back as there are better options out there in the area.
