   My family dined there on Friday, December 21st . The food was excellent and affordable, perhaps some of the best in Pottstown, but the service was SLOW. We didn’t expect to be there for hours! I thought perhaps because it was a holiday weekend ...but after reading other comments it seems that poor service and long waits seems to be a trend. I’m undecided about returning...my son-in-law had the same concerns!

   Dining room was beautiful, and inviting. Food was delicious. We ordered the cheese steak flatbread for an appetizer, and California burger and Crab Melt for lunch. We will definitely be returning!

   The place does not use open table even though I made a reservation we had to wait 30 minutes for a table Bar was extremely behind The kitchen was also behind and lost part of our food order The Gatsby’s can not handle large crowds and this is a go to place in Pottstown We will go back and try again but if it the same way we will never go back

   Good food, good drinks, good service, good company equals good time. We will return. Oysters were very good. Avocado, lobster tower was excellent as was the ribeye wrapped asparagus. They made a sidecar cocktail. Zero complaints.

   My first and possibly my only visit to Gatsby's was very frustrating. I had reservations for 4:00...we were meeting Gatsby regulars...for 7:15 on a Saturday night. We arrived at 7:00ish and were told that we had a 10/15 minute wait as they were cleaning up some tables...to the bar we went. At 7:45ish, I was told that they were a little backed up because of some power outages at some local restaurants and they were "busy." I mentioned my 7:15 reservation and they said they would get to me soon...back to the bar. At 8:05/8:10ish, I was told I was next...returning to the bar, again! I was texted at 8:27 that my table was ready. Unfortunately, the visit didn't get much better. We waited a bit to get a drink. Okay, they were busy. We were promised bread...it was almost 9:00/9:15ish...it never made it to the table. On it went...no onions ordered-my wife got onions, waited too long for ketchup, the wrong "color" wine was delivered, some post-dinner water was very, very late in getting to us...it was frustrating!! It seem to our party that some guests who came in after us were seated before us, but they kept reassuring us that we were next and we really wanted to try Gatsby's. I really feel that I would have to hold back and be cautious about recommending Gatsby's because my first...and possibly only visit to Gatsby's was very frustrating, to say the least.
