   Great food! But, the selection on the menu was small and only 3 options for the kids. We had expected some sort of special with it being Easter Sunday but nothing. The gentleman that showed us to our table was very nice and polite, all the servers were really but very scruffy looking, all in dirty black trainers and shirts half untucked, not much enthusiasm about them either. That’s maybe a reflection of the working environment though. Good food, prices too high with slightly below average service

   For a 4 star resort the food is poor! They have supplements for everything and we were there in the Easter holidays and there were numerous things they had run out of. Seemed to be unprepared for the people who were staying and had supply issues

   The restaurant has lovely views of the hotel grounds and is pleasant to sit in. Our party of 2 adults and 2 children had mixed success with our menu choices. The adults' fish and chips and curried catch of the day were very nice. However,the price of the children's menu was too high given the very small portions,e.g. £4 for 2 small pieces of garlic bread (starter) and, £8/9 for a small bowl of macaroni cheese with no "sides". The staff on duty were pleasant and hard working. Unfortunately, they were very understaffed given that the hotel was full and restaurant fully booked. We had been served and finished our starters before our drinks were served. We then had an almost 30 minute wait for our main courses. Staff then abandoned us and, as with our drinks order, I had to pursue a member of staff for a dessert service for our, still hungry, children. What could have been a lovely visit was spoiled by under-staffing and over-pricing (children's menu).

   BEWARE: we were promised and booked a Sunday Lunch, with description of the usual roast beef etc. When we got there, there were only 4 people in the restaurant and no sign of any ‘Sunday Lunch’. Very disappointed as we made a special visit. We left with no food, as the burgers etc. on the ordinary menu just didn’t appeal. This place has gone downhill in a big way.

   Stayed her on New Year’s Day. Food was lovely, we had haggis Bon Bons, & black pudding scotch egg to start and both had burgers which were huge and lovely. My partner wanted lamb Rogan josh however they had ran out, we were advised a delivery was cancelled prior to NYE due to the weather so no blame here :). The staff were clearly very busy, however friendly and cheerful. Overall a really nice dinner.

   We ate here while staying for a long weekend at the hotel between Christmas and New Year. The food was very good. We tried some options from the Flavours of India menu and the dishes were surprisingly good. The accompanying wines were also very good. And then there was the service. Generally polite and helpful staff in the restaurant itself but clearly an issue with the operating the drinks bar. First thing we ordered when we were seated at our table was two glasses of wine while we perused the food menu. Food order taken and still no sign of our wine. Starters delivered and consumed and still no sign of our wine. Main courses arrived and still no wine. After reminding the waiter, two glasses appeared along with profuse apologies for the tardiness. How long does it take to pour two glasses of wine?? This could passably have been excused if it were a genuine oversight on a busy night but literally everyone in the restaurant who ordered drinks was complaining and chasing. The hotel clearly had insufficient or inexperienced staff (or I suspect a combination of both) operating the drinks bar that evening. Such a shame as it spoiled the whole experience and undid all the good work by the chefs and the main restaurant staff. Shame on the hotel for not recognising and dealing with it. They will undoubtedly lose return visitors as a a result

    Food okay. Service fine when only a handful of diners but got progressively slower as the restaurant grew busier. Coffees took forever to arrive and we gave up waiting for the bill and walked up to the till to tell them to charge the meal to our room. Also somewhat annoying that several drinks shown on the wine menu as available by the glass they would only sell by the bottle. Suggest either update the menu or update the thinking
