   The food was good Love the brunch there. It was a little loud in the dining room but I guess it is to be expected on a crowded holiday

   A family member was taking us out for a milestone birthday for my husband and asked where we would like to go and of course we said Tavern 18. We were greeted by Bruno, the manager who always has a smile and we had excellent service from the staff, especially our waiter, George. Food was delish!! Highly recommend this local gem.

   Frequent spot I just so happened to find one Valentine’s Day & continued to go to or order from throughout the years. Always what I expect , great food.

   Food was very good. Bus boy, service staff, a bit too quick to remove dishes. Should really wait until all the individuals at table are finished. Restaurant claims to be in New Hyde Park but 100% in Glen Oaks, Queens. A bit misleading. Overall, would give it a good rating.

   This was our first time at this restaurant and we highly recommend it. We got seated right away, the service, food and ambience was fantastic. Never felt rushed,and Manager came by several times to make sure everything was ok. Will definitely go again.

   We have been here often, but our last experience wasn’t great. We sat down right away and the waitress came right over and took our drink over. That was great. The food order wasn’t great. For starters the black bean burger has been not available for a few weeks as per the waitress. Black bean burgers are hard to find to be honest. The pork loin was also not made right. I have ordered it in the past and it wasn’t up to par. We order the spinach dip and fried calamari which were both on point. The burger sliders off of the children menu were enjoyed. Our drinks were also on point. The pork was not prepared right and very disappointing. I ordered it and I got a pork chop boneless pounded down. The sauce was not even correct. It was topped with sautéed onions not even in the correct sauce. The mashed potatoes were good as well as the veggies. I have to be honest, I was disappointed because I have had the pork loin in the past and it’s been so good from the pork to sauce.

   We enjoyed our dinner and had a nice time. The waiter was very nice and the ambiance was perfect.

    Food was good and the place is really nice. Hard to get service as we were not part of any of the large groups but thanks much to the manager for comping us a dessert. The round tables near the bar are way too big for the banquettes that they are paired with. Only the two inside folks had room to move. May or may not be back
