A NEW TAKE ON TRADITIONAL DUMPLINGS

Nestled in the heart of Chinatown in San Francisco, Fusion Dumpling is a Shanghai Dumpling House with a menu fusing Szechuan, Shanghai, and Northern delicacies.

Our take on a traditional dumpling combines Chongqing-Szechuan Bun style Xiao Long Bao, Shanghai soup dumpling pan-fried buns, and Northern-style dumplings to create a “Flavored in one” dumpling unlike any other.

Chef Du and his team, known best for savory soup dumplings, presents a menu for both the adventure seeker and traditional Chinese food lover alike. From mini hot pots, noodles and rice, and private home cuisines, to classic dishes and of course dumplings – the new menu is exploding with flavor.

Each dish is made to order.
Seating is limited. Peak times can lead to wait times.

    We were pretty bummed to wait 20 minutes to be sat for our early dinner reservations. We have a small child so making reservations we can rely on is important to our overall experience. Food came out quickly but the staff was clearly overwhelmed. Other folks were expressing frustration with their wait times for thei reservations as well. We didnt like the flavor of the crab lo mein despite the fun presentation. The spicy green beans were great and the pan fried pork bao was our favorite dish. We probably wont be back just due to the stress and service issues but after hearing all the hype - im glad we tried it out.

    Has potential but was very understaffed. The service took a long time and they ended up missing one of the dishes we ordered. That dish came at the very end of our dinner and was cold.

    The dumplings were fabulous and different. The truffle wagyu beef ones were our favorite. The sticky rice and pork and pan fried pork soup dumplings were also very tasty. The honey walnut shrimp had too much sweet sauce. The crab noodles were good but needed more flavor like garlic as they were a bit bland. The staff and service were perfect. Everyone was very nice and efficient. Thank you!

    Short staffed so it took a while for the girls to take our order but they were very nice. Tea was expensive and tasteless unfortunately. String beans and sesame Bal’s were very good.

    We were visiting San Francisco and wanted a dim sum experience. We liked all of the buns. The way they were displayed when they came out was very unique.

    Excellent dumplings. We had the pork and shrimp. General Tsos chicken was also excellent. And the Jasmine team. Two beautiful tables for large groups.

    I discovered this restaurant thanks to an influencer via Instagram. I bought some of his food suggestions. I was surprised by the reality of what he showed. Very good, simple and exotic. Exactly what I expected. I recommend the place.

    Booked the reservation after seeing an influencer post the amazing crab lo mein. The restaurant did not disappoint. The food was amazing and definitely Instagram worthy as well! Will be back
