What a spectacular meal! I enjoyed the Baby Romaine, Ham and Chips, Steak “Au Poivre” over the Potato Purée, and finally the French Toast! All of these items were such carefully assembled creations allowing the flavours to intermingle and compliment one another with familiar flavours coming from unexpected ingredients. The cocktails that accompanied my meal were quite delicious and well crafted. I’m very happy I was able to experience Francine’s before the summer break, they will be missed, I look forward to 2.0!

We came to Francine’s for cocktails and snacks and ended up ordering all the food. The Francine martini was delicious. We order the sliders and steak au poivre and both were amazing! The richness of the Brie in the slides was a delight and the steak was cooked to perfection. Cannot wait for them to reopen in the Fall.

Attended the Francines and Vagabond Collaboration - really struggled to choose a favourite dish! All five courses had an amazing variety of colours and textures. Scallops (pea tendril & onion fondue, Malaysian chili butter) were over the top! And the rhubarb & cream and buckwheat shortbread were the perfect cap to the evening. Thank you, Francines and Vagabond, for a scrumptious night out!

Probably my 10th visit?! 🥲 I came in yesterday just for the special. Nate Wry’s “Sunmaker” cocktail was super delicious and balanced (local Calgary Last Best gin, plum vermouth & mint soda). Stayed for a round of ham & chips (my favourite snack in the city) and also ended up getting cheese puffs, a chicken sandwich and a margarita. Yum.
