   We went to Fort Louise for brunch. Our first impression was very positive. The restaurant is located in a small converted house and is very charming. And we were greeted on the front porch by an extremely friendly hostess. The first 2 minutes were an A+. Things went downhill after the initial impression. COFFEE-No cream, milk only...and the only sweetening options were raw sugar and Stevia. At $3.50 each, the coffee was expensive relative to our $10 and $13 dollar entrees. EGGS BENEDICT-The potatoes accompanying the entrée were delicious, the hollandaise sauce was perfect, but the eggs were overcooked. BREAKFAST BURRITO-This would have been very good had it been hot, but with a barely warm center it was no more than average. At this point we were still undecided as to whether to give Fort Louise a second chance. Enough positives to be hopeful with enough negatives to be apprehensive about a return trip. Then this happened! Before leaving the restaurant I decided to go to the restroom. It was relatively large and quite clean...BUT there was one big problem. There were 2 high chairs stored in the restroom. I'm no health inspector, but this can't possibly be an appropriate thing to do. Final straw...we wont' be back.

   The food was exceptional. Fresh twists on favorites and stellar friendly service. Adding to my regular rotation of fave Nashvillle restaurants.

   What a great find. I was looking for a new place and came across Fort Louise. It was all perfect. Decor, cocktails, food, service, and all four of us were so pleased. Do yourself a favor and go. You' ll be happy!

   This place was fabulous. I loved the low key atmosphere. It was nice to go to brunch without a million people waiting to be seated. AND....the food and drinks were fantastic. We will definitely be back.

   Fort Louise is just down the street from us, so we are excited to have a potentially great "foodie" spot in the neighborhood. We've been now 3-4 times, for brunch and lunch, and while the food is fairly innovative and solid, the service is spotty and overall, confused. They miss small but impactful things like correct silverware and spoons to stir coffee. I think the kitchen is slow as well, as the pace of getting starters out seems delayed. I am hoping they continue to improve operations/service and generally get their act together, as we'd like to patronize regularly in the near term. I'd also LOVE to see them improve their coffee and tea offerings -- possibly barista beverages vs simply drip coffee out of a home pot.

   Great night out in Nashville. We enjoyed a variety of dishes from homemade chips with blue cheese to the braised short ribs (huge portion!).

    Wonderful! Will definitely be back! Had the Thai wings as an appetizer, they were great. For entrees, we had fried chicken and a pork chop that was on special, both were delicious!
