    Second time I end up disappointed with Fogo. This time around I made a reservation for Best of Brazil for April 20th. I mentioned it in the reservation I made days prior to it. But not only did it take forever to get seated, when my party was finally sat down and we mentioned that we were there for the Best of Brazil, we were told that menu was not available that day, only the Full churrasco experience — for full dinner price. I would have appreciated a text or email informing me of the change in menu. Already being sat down, and trying to avoid embarrassment, we opted to stay. Service was poor as well. We did not get refills for water nor any of the other complimentary items. I love Fogo but communication and service at this location needs to improve.

    TLDR: Trash Service, Trash Food. If y'all feel like going somewhere to waste money on mediocre food and even worse service, then boy do I have the place for you. Allow me to introduce: Fogo De Chao, Pasadena. My social media feed kept getting ad's for a "Best of Brazil" promotion from Fogo De Chao. This promotion allows you to experience select menu items at a discounted all-you-can-eat price. I gathered a group of 6 and we decided to go and try this promotion out. Sounds fun right? WRONG. The instructions online indicate to mention the promotion when making your reservation, or to the staff as you are seated. If you told me saying "Best of Brazil Promotion Please" was a secret phrase for "give us the worst service and experience possible" I'd believe you. Not only were a majority of the meats we received dry/overcooked-burnt, we would have to constantly ask for anything to come to our table. It was funny because we were sat right in front of the kitchen entry where the servers would go in and out with the meats to bring to patrons, and yet we would continuously get passed without being offered anything. We even decided to group all 6 of our table cards together on the green side at the very edge of the table to indicate we were ready for service and yet that had no effect. Our initial server had red/orange hair, and I wish there was more to say, but meeting her at the beginning was the last we would ever see of her again. Not because she finished her shift. Oh no. She was there for the entirety of our visit, but rather tending to all other tables except for ours. Which is funny in and of itself, because while we were there it didn’t appear busy in the slightest. This left us to flag down servers by raising our hands hoping to catch their attention whenever we needed assistance. There’s more to say, but not enough characters to say it in. Just don’t go here.

    An experience that left me talking about it the very next day. The service was on par with any fine dining establishment. The manager, Thomas, was the consummate professional and Nicholas, our server, was cordial. I will be back in the very near future. Thank you.

    I love Fogo de Chao , the service , I think is always 5 star.. the salad bar was good , soup selection was okey , the set up wasn’t that great but again soup taste good , and it could at least be a little warmer . Three of us went that night and one doesn’t it red meat at all, I did asked if she can have just the Taste of Brazil and the two will have the full experience , but can’t have that choice , anyway I think that should have been allowed but hey as what I’ve mentioned, service and all cuts were very good . I didn’t mind paying extra , I’ll be back again . One more thing Valet is $20 , self Parking , same structure $6 , so do the math. That $14 can get you 2 beers ! Cheers ..

    **Review for Fogo de Chão - Pasadena, CA** The food was extremely disappointing. The steaks were either completely raw or overly salty—I woke up the next day desperately thirsty from the salt overload. In my 24 years of life, this was the first time I’ve encountered beef with such a strong, fishy odor that it was inedible. For a churrascaria, this is an unforgivable mistake. The service was equally terrible. We waited 30 minutes just to receive the first round of meat, followed by agonizing 20-minute intervals for each subsequent piece. After complaining to the manager, we still waited another 15 minutes with no food arriving. Some of my friends resorted to eating salads from the salad bar to avoid starving. Paying $80 for a meal where we only ate salad and fewer than 10 slices of meat is laughable. We wasted two hours on dreadful service and hellish food. We came to celebrate a friend’s birthday but ended up taking our own cake home to cut—it was that bad. I strongly advise against dining here for any special occasion. Save your time and money.

    I wanted to share my recent experience at the restaurant, which was unfortunately very disappointing. The service fell far below expectations—our server seemed too busy to serve us even for appetizer and water, and throughout our visit, we struggled to receive any attention at all. When it was time to check out, we couldn’t find anyone to assist us. Even after asking another server for help, we were ignored. This lack of service made for a very frustrating experience. I hope you can address these issues to improve future customer experiences.

    The food bar, both warm and cold were constantly out of food. At one point customers were complaining about the soup and fejuadah bar never having food so I had to ask Managment and it was still delayed. When it finally got there… no bowls so more waiting. So many employees and everything runs out? Seems like it was done on purpose to save money or something. Disgraceful. They only go around once with the good stuff ( top serloin, ribeye)then wait a long time to send it out again. When we got it, we had the scraps of the ribeye… and didn’t get it again. Paid dinner pricing for crap. Worse forgo de chao I’ve ever been too… But our waiter did try his best to serve well. Managment should all be scorned.

    Firstly, I want to say that the hostess team upfront were rock stars. They seemed really swamped and understaffed for a Saturday Night, but they always seemed really calm and composed, and never seemed to lose control. Super polite and awesome group. What soured the experience for us is the fact that during our wait to be seated, we probably ended up waiting much longer than we should have. We had an 8 pm reservation and checked in at about 7:15 (yes, I understand we probably wouldn’t be seated till close to 8 anyways, I don’t have issues with that). What I had issues with was the fact that while the hostess team was waiting for tables to open up so everybody that was in the lobby waiting to be seated, I saw a bunch of servers kee-kee-keeing and just chatting with each other and standing around while one busser was going around cleaning and clearing tables. I felt so bad for the support staff since they all seemed so understaffed and the servers couldn’t be bothered to stop idly chatting. When we did eventually get seated our server introduced himself to us, took our drink orders, brought the drinks back to us, and we literally never saw him again. It was straight up like playing “where’s Waldo”. I wanted to put up a “Missing person” poster because he literally never popped back up ever again. All requests and questions had to be directed to another female server who was helping a nearby table, she was awesome and rocked. Some food runners would come by, but it was very inconsistent and most only came when we asked our server to send some specific cuts by. Just a very disappointing dinner experience for us, especially since it was a business dinner that we were treating a partner to. There were the Staff members who hustled, and others who just really put a damper on things and did those hustlers no favors. It’s not my first time dining at Fogo, so I know this isn’t their normal standards, but left a very bitter taste for us.
