Five Star Restaurant has been honoring our Chinese roots since the year 2000. We aim to serve fresh, modern takes on Chinese and Asian Cuisine. Some of our most popular dishes are the Five Star Generals Chicken, Crispy Sesame Beef, and Heat Seeker Shrimp. Our kitchen can accommodate gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan diets on most of our dishes. We also have a constantly evolving Wine, Beer, and seasonal cocktail list. We proudly feature DJ’s every week, Wednesday- Sunday. Our DJ booth has been fortunate enough to host many world-renowned DJs and entertainers over the years — you never know who you might see spinning at Five Star Restaurant.

We went there as a group and we shared a bunch of appetizers and entrees. Everything tasted fresh and the dishes were abundant. We had the crab rangoon, dumplings, beef and broccoli, general Tao’s chicken, chicken fried rice and vegetable lo-mein. They also have a nice selection of drinks and desserts. Our server was very attentive and provided good recommendations. I would definitely recommend this restaurant and would come back again.

Had to sit at the bar for almost 15 minutes past our reservation. Waited 10 minutes for our server to come to the table. Food was excellent but not worth the lackluster service. I won’t be going back.

We have been eating here for years. I love the food very fresh, and the service is always excellent. We always sit at the bar and love the environment

Food was good although the server brought the wrong appetizer. Inattentive server—spilled water on table and floor (puddle)—never cleaned up. Parking lot had changed—no ticket validation anymore at restaurant. Service/food not as good as past visits.

We had a great time at 5 star restaurant. Our server Ryan was amazing and very helpful with all of our questions (we had plenty). The portions were insane and were very much worth the price. Our favorite dishes were the heat seeker shrimp and the sesame beef. Our favorite appetizer was the chicken lettuce wrap. The beef garlic noodles were good as well.

Five Star is one of our very favorite restaurants in Raleigh. Michelle and her team are always top notch, whether we've made a reservation or dropped in for a bite at the bar. And the food is so, so good. My husband and I are both vegan, and they do an amazing job of accommodating us -- not just accommodating, but creating absolutely delicious meals that we can enjoy alongside our omnivore friends. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough -- it's been a Raleigh treasure for years, and it's still going strong.
